All my talk of needing to put Billy in a mason jar so I can study him/keep him close/shake the shit out of him on occasion and I finally did it:

UPDATE: it’s recently come to my attention that you actually can’t house these things alone for too long or they get really anxious and start gnawing on their enclosures. :(

so I put Steve in there to keep Billy company❤️they fight a lot tho. does anyone know how long the adjustment period is??

Also a couple of people mentioned watering them once a month wasn’t correct, so I just put a keg in there for them instead. they seem to like it.

Anyway, that’s it guys! Let me know if you think they need a bigger enclosure or if I should switch them from a different brand of cigarettes for them to eat. And before you ask: yes I already poked holes in their backs so they can breathe. 😊 they’re FINE I swear.

UPDATE #2: guys you won’t believe it.

I decided to remove the keg because apparently it encourages aggression and competitiveness, but look what scampered out from underneath the keg when I lifted it up????

I have no idea how long Eddie was in there for. He must have snuck in at one point.

Anyway, double check your enclosures at home to make sure you didn’t lose your Eddie. He’s super affectionate so I don’t think he’s a stray. I mean, he bites, but they’re not like Billy’s bites—they’re more like love bites??? He needs a buttload of grooming though. Steve seems to be taking care of that.

Unfortunately, Billy is still really aggressive, so please send me your best tips to help him feel more at home. 🙏❤️

Couldn’t help but notice that their enclosure was starting to get a little cramped in there so I took it upon myself to upgrade it. Also added a mesh lid- the smoke started to suffocate them.

Eddie gets a little stir crazy if he can’t touch grass every now and then. Got them the sweetest bed, they just cuddle up with each other- really cute. Though I have noticed that Billy has started to hide his Marlboro’s under it. Additionally, gave them a privacy curtain, turns out they’re all some flavour of introvert and they need it to feel safe.
