i get curious over many things and i am currently curious about ur james's prosthetic leg and how he got it if u have any lore about it. basically just info dump to me about this guy's leg

(I’ve said this before in a previous “lore dump,” I’m not great at these so just bear with me and if you got any other questions you can always ask! I don’t mind :])
One fateful morning, after a couple of weeks of working and being ignored by most of his coworkers, James gets pretty pissed and starts becoming more careless with the trucks.
We all know what happens after that.
The resulting crash is what really matters here.
After the locomotive fell off the tracks, James is knocked unconscious as the fire from his brakes ,paired with sparks from the accident, cause the surrounding area to briefly catch on fire. James’ right leg included.
He’s rescued when Thomas sees him and puts the fire on his leg out but the damage is already done.
He suffered several 3rd degree burns along with a couple of 4th degree burns on his leg and when he was hospitalized it was too late to save it so it had to be amputated. (The specific type of amputation he received was a knee disarticulation.)
It took a REALLY long time for him to get used to the prosthetic but an even longer time for him to even process that he was missing a leg. He would go as far to even refuse to use the prosthetic leg and was essentially bedridden for weeks. Eventually (after putting his job on the line), he would start using the new leg and get back to work.
Along with the prosthetic, James also has a cane he’s supposed to be using as well as some crutches for when he just doesn’t feel like wearing the prosthetic.
Despite me depicting James as, for a lack of better words, ‘used’ to his disability years after his accident he still quietly despises it. The only difference is now he has accepted the fact that there’s really nothing he can do about it. At least he can use it as a weapon for when Henry pisses him off.
