Beauty comes with a price.

It’s not pain from stuffing your feet in stilletoes and walking for miles while your feet get blisters, it’s not plastic surgery and the costs and dangers which comes along with it, it’s not layers of make up which require hours in the morning to achieve just the right conbination, it’s not starving yourself every day just to lose a few pounds here and there. It shouldn’t hurt to look good, pretty shouldn’t be paired with pain and we shouldn’t be absorbing it all, thinking it’s worth it all in the end. Who set these standards anyway?

All of Allah’s creation is beautiful and we shouldn’t go out of our way to please the hungry eyes of the world, to fit in, to make ourselves feel better. If I told you that you were beautiful already, would you want to go and change it?

Yes, beauty comes with a price but it’s not pain, it’s modesty.

You are so beautiful to begin with, all you need to do is preserve it not enhance it.
