Things that annoyed me at the concert
So last night I saw ace live and it was amazing and I honestly love them so much. Nothing on this is going to be about them. This is about how the concert was run. Just a place for me to have a mini rant.
â˘Despite the fact that we were supposed to be let in at 6:00pm I didnât actually get let in until around 6:40
â˘The concert however, did start pretty much on time at 7:00pm
â˘I went to go buy the sweatshirt I wanted and while I was in line, the concert started
â˘There was only one person running the merch stand and I ended up missing the first two songs
â˘The lady at the stand told me they only had small left and I said âthatâs fineâ and this b looked me up and down and was likeâwe ONLY have smallâ like yeah, I heard you. GIVE ME MY SWEATSHIRT!
â˘There was no one there to help me find my seat and so I was just struggling in the dark
â˘THE LIGHTS!!!! The lighting design was awful. Most of the time it was too blinding and I had to look away
â˘When I could look I couldnât see the members because the light was too bright.
â˘The sound system was also not good. Often the music was too loud and I couldnât actually hear the boys singing and thatâs really sad
â˘The translator. OMG this girl got on my nerves. There were many times when a member would say something and she wouldnât translate it and then he would kinda wait and then repeat the sentence.. Or other times they would have a mini conversation and then laugh but that wasnât translated either so..
â˘Not one person talked to me about A.C.E. Not one. People talked about BTS, NCT, Red Velvet, Monsta X. No one talked to me about the group we were there to see?? Like what? I tried bringing it up but it didnât seem like they wanted to talk about them.
â˘People seemed more excited to hear the Big Bang and BTS songs they did more than they liked A.C.Eâs own songs.
â˘I kid you not, people that had been sitting down the entire concert stood up and danced and did the fanchants for Fake Love and DNA. That makes me really sad
I really did love the concert but it was more because I got to see the boys than it was for the event. The boys did a amazing, wonderful, fantastic job and I love them so much. (i cried)

Concert Etiquette
hey yall, if A.C.Eâs To Be An ACE tour is going to be your first concert, or if you just need a refresher, hereâs a list of the dos and donâts of being a good fan/audience member!!!
DO: Show up early if you want to be close to the stage. If youâre unable to come early and wait in line, take the steps you need to take in order to accept that just because you arenât in the front row doesnât mean you arenât going to have a blast!!
DONâT: Push your way through the crowd to get closer to the stage. Generally speaking, the only time itâs acceptable to push your way through the crowd is in case of an emergency. Once you get to your spot you are set there, do not move forward unless others make room for you. Go to the bathroom before the venue opens. If you need to leave in the middle of the performance to use the bathroom understand that you are giving up your place in the crowd to do so.
DO: Thank ALL of the artists for coming if you get a chance to meet them during hi-touch. Tell them they did a great job and encourage them. Understand that they are human and respect their personal space.
DONâT: Do anything unscripted during hi-touch. Staff will tell you what is allowed, most of the time hi-touch means a high five or quick hand hold. If they want to do more than a hand hold or high five for hi-touch they will be the ones to start that. A general rule of thumb: donât do anything without EXPLICIT consent from the artists. Itâs also important to take the time to learn about your cultural differences, what may seem innocent to you could make somebody else extremely uncomfortable and impact future events.
DO: Double check with the venue in regards to when it okay to line up, and once you get there make friends in line! You all have at least one thing in common already, talk to the people around you. Fun conversation starters: whatâs your favorite song, whoâs your bias, how did you find A.C.E, what other kinds of music do you listen to, is this your first concert, etc. Remember to bring water/snacks if you will be waiting a while, but be aware that they might not be allowed inside the venue.Â
DONâT: Be obnoxious!!! Be aware of your surroundings and respectful of your peers. Understand the mood and go with the flow. Are people freaking out about A.C.E? Go ahead and be loud and giggly!! Is the person next to you constantly having to step back from you? Give them some space.
DO: Learn the fan chants!!! Sing along when A.C.E tells you to!! Yell and applaud when the songs end!!!
DONâT: Scream over the artists when they are singing or talking. NEVER scream over the artists. People spent their money and time travelling to these concerts to watch and listen to these talented guys, do NOT get in the way of that. (This goes doubly so for 5TAR!!! It is their most emotional song, show that you love and respect them by letting them sing it.)
DO: Hold up hand hearts, take occasional pictures, and hold up any signs or slogans at the appropriate times when allowed.
DONâT: Record the entire show or hold your banner up for the entire show. Be aware that there are people around you and you might be blocking their view.
DO: Follow the staffâs instructions. There are rules in place for safety and to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. If you see somebody breaking the rules or putting themselves or others at risk, make them aware of the rules or alert a staff member immediately. Itâs also totally fine to talk to and joke around with the staff members AS LONG AS THEY ARENâT BUSY. They might be able to give you little sneak peeks about whatâs going on inside the venue if you befriend them (but donât expect anything and donât harass them.)
DONâT: Follow A.C.E once they concert is over. Do not take pictures or bother them outside of the event. If you see them, itâs totally okay to wave and give a little hand heart, but do NOT invade their personal space, make their location known, or cause a scene. If in some rare case you are able to talk to them or take a picture with them outside of a concert setting (WITH, THEIRÂ CONSENT,) evaluate whether or not it would be safe and appropriate to share your experience. In some circumstances it is okay to share long after they have left the area and are no longer at risk of stalking or any negative behavior.
If you have more to add, feel free to reblog with your advice. Letâs be on our best behavior so we can ALL have a great experience! If we want A.C.E to come back, the first step is to be supportive and polite.
gracias chile ~
