He was born in 1977, in La Plata.

Crying Freeman/ 1989

The first half of Crying Freeman is absolutely badass—full of action, violence, and tension. It’s really exciting to watch. Then the second half hits and everything changes: the animation feels flat, the voices don’t land, and it just loses its impact. It’s honestly hard to get through. Still, the first part is so good that I’d recommend it overall.

Companies such as Bandai created large vinyl and plastic figures, model kits, and transforming robots that connected directly to popular anime series. The 1980s saw the rise of collectible mecha culture with franchises like Mobile Suit Gundam, where model kits (“Gunpla”) became a major hobby, while transforming toys like Transformers and other robot lines mixed engineering gimmicks with science-fiction fantasy. These toys became symbols of Japanese pop culture, combining anime, design, and toy technology, and many of the original 1980s releases are now highly collectible.
