#AST’s Top-10 NBA players entering new season!
First of all, let me say I’m going to do this list in order. I promised myself, this wasn’t going to be one of those lists where I just named ten players and kept it moving. Nope, that can’t be me! I will give you my brief yet honest opinions on the ten players, I named in their order, and I hope you enjoy it. If you feel some way, then guess what? I wish your team permanent mediocrity and never seeing the delight of a high draft pick or world championship.
1. Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers -
In all seriousness, the reigning Finals MVP is the last superstar-caliber player who can effectively play on both ends of the floor, be clutch during crunch time, and not have a single flaw in his offensive game.
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks -
This man hasn’t developed a consistent jumper or ability to get out of foul trouble yet, and he’s going to average at least 27-12-6 while carrying the most responsibility out of every star player in the league.
3. LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers -
Bronny averaged 27-8-7 last season and a majority of the basketball world said that was “bad” LMAOOOOOO. There’s no need to add to my explanation other than these words right here.
4. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors -
It was easy for me to put Steph here. In fact, I’ll give you a thought. All you have to do is close your eyes. Imagine Steph during his two, consecutive MVP seasons, but possessing more purpose to lead the way considering what happened since last June. See how easy it was for me to make this call?
5. James Harden, Houston Rockets -
The game’s most creative offensive talent in the last 20 years will still be great while receiving an uptick in help and rest from his fellow MVP winner/Thunder teammate, Russell Westbrook.
6. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers -
The only player who could seriously challenge my thought of being another superstar that could “effectively play both ends of the floor.” AD is also great enough to knock anybody out of my top five!
7. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets -
Man, this dude is just different. To be at his size and pass, move, and defend the way he does is insane and you know he’s built to last as a franchise-leading/MVP player.
8. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers -
Even with his transcendent into superstardom, it’s very clear what we’re getting from “Dame Dolla.” Buckets. Clutch Play. Play-making. Another step closer to winning a championship. You have to love that!
9. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers -
I’m calling it right now. If the 76ers land a top-two seed in the Eastern Conference and their regular season record is well above 50 wins, then Embiid can seriously win the MVP.
10. Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers -
Starting last season, I think people began appreciating PG13 a bit more, even if it was a little bit. The multi-time All-Star found various ways to elevate his game despite dealing with injuries and playing alongside another star.
