“Had me at Hello...”
Tea was her favorite thing of the morning .The sweet aroma of Honey against a backdrop of Oolong, and rooibos danced across her nose in the kitchen of her home. Sera stretched as turned the page of the post. The door to her garage cracked open as she took her breakfast. The day had been quiet, those days always bored her, causing mind to wander centuries. A gentle breeze swept the oil filled rustic smell of her workshop up through in, to dance around the living room and around through the kitchen.
Walking through the night into the morning had been something Hamon had become accustomed to. He was using his wolf more each day so he could keep up a steady pace and strength. The last few months had been filled with challenges he did not intend on facing so his physical demands were higher. But with Sera’s and his life on the line. He could not risk it, he had to go and fight.
He turned the corner onto the street of his love’s garage, already smelling the faint waft of oolong tea creeping over to him. It’s faint scent growing and growing as he stepped towards the entrance into the garage. All the control in him stopped him from bursting through the door to scoop her up into his arms. He raised his right hand and knocked three times, waiting patiently for a reply.
At the knock Sera Jumped, lost in a thought that had taken her to a life long past, she had spilled a bit of her tea in her surprise. The smell hit her first, She crouched. A wolf, every instinct in her screamed to attack. She held her silence, and her tongue. The smell was distant, familiar, but strange and new all at the same time. Scars deep in her heart started to tear anew. Wolves weren’t welcome in her shop since both Damon and Hamon had left her over a year ago. Her deep seated distrust of them had been stirred fresh after Hamon’s disappearance. Reminders of a love lost to time once again.
