Just saying, but if you’re procrastinating putting in the work that you must, you aren’t hungry enough to change your situation. The universe shouldn’t have to give you the same lesson 20 times before you get it together. Stop treating your life like a game and make discipline your best friend. Nobody can help you out better than yourself.
this year will be wonderful. you will meet new people who will feel like sunlight. someone out there will be lucky enough to meet you. you will see breathtaking views. you will learn so much knowledge from your studies and gain so much wisdom. there will be bad days but you will heal and start again in the morning. you will discover what makes you happy. you will fill up journals with scribbles and messy drawings. you will feel low and make mistakes but they will help you become a stronger person. you will pick up new things that give your life meaning and you will pour your heart into it. you will find songs that speak to you more than anything else in the world. you will grow. this year is waiting for you and it’s beautiful.
You ever see a pretty dress, a well-organised notebook, a peculiar balcony or read one line of poetry and get the overwhelming urge to reinvent yourself
🌻 little habits/things to do more of 🌻
dailies
make your bed. (no, really.)
set your top 3 to-dos for the day.
do your top 3 to-dos for the day. (heh)
stretch.
unpack your bag when you get home.
prepare your things for the next day before sleeping.
skincare. (your basic cleanse and moisturize)
sweep the floor of your bedroom.
talk to your plants. (if you have plants)
update your financial report/expense tracker.
take a good photo.
meditate.
hug at least three people. (seriously.)
weeklies
polish your school shoes.
mop your bedroom floor.
dare i say, laundry. (don’t put it off!)
exfoliate.
take a leisure walk.
review your past week and plan your next week accordingly. (a part of your routine may not be working–try something new)
make a piece of art. (a sketch, a collage, a quote in pretty lettering, a god-awful poem..)
sanitize your gadgets. (whip out the wet tissue and wipe away at your phone, your laptop, your mouse, your earphones–just don’t forget to IMMEDIATELY follow that up with a dry cloth to prevent fogging and short circuits)
watch a TED Talk.
make a new playlist.
monthlies
wash your bag.
wash your shoes.
change the sheets of your bed and your pillows.
clip your nails. (honestly)
wax/shave. (if you want. i just really like how fresh my skin feels after i torture it with razors and wax strips)
wipe your shelves/the tops of your furniture clean. (try to avoid dusting. it just scatters the dirt everywhere. use a damp cloth instead)
see if there’s anything in your storage that you don’t need/want anymore and give stuff away or sell them.
review your month and plan the next one accordingly. (just like your weeks. remember to refer to your Life Goal/Year’s Goals page)
finish reading at least one book. (and review it!)
discover new songs.

Desperately trying to remember a bunch of paragrafs. Here’s to next semester being a productive one
autumn is here 🍂

You can always start again. Clean out your social media. Create a new account for your new taste in music. Study or work in a new city. Start socialising with new people. Choose a new signature scent and style and purge the outdated parts of yourself. If you don’t like where you’re at, but you don’t know what to do about it - try starting again.

do you like to type your notes or handwrite them ? i do a bit of both!
Tips for Improving your Concentration
1. Eliminate noise and other distractions from your environment. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach a place of focused concentration. Thus, constant interruptions will stop you reaching that place.
2. Deliberately structure your environment so that the focus is clearly on studying - and not on doing, and seeing, other things. That may mean changing the room you work in, moving your desk, and so on.
3. Clarify your goals for each piece of work. If you don’t know what you’re doing, or you’re hoping to achieve, you’ll likely go in circles, and simply waste your time.
4. Break large areas of study down into smaller sections, and then plan how you’re going to work through each of these.
5. Set reasonable time limits for each portion of the task – and also for completing the final project. That should help to stop you wasting time on needless details, from wandering down blind alleys, and from procrastinating.
6. Be clear about the requirements for each task. For example, what are the guidelines you have to follow? What standard or quality of work is expected? How detailed does your knowledge have to be? If you’re writing as assignment, how long should it be, and what style and format is required?
7. Isolate yourself. Often, it is best if we lock ourselves away, and avoid other people, when we really need to work. Find a place to hide away, or put a sign or your door – but refuse to talk to anyone until the work is done!
welcome to my home 🌷
I couldn’t focus so I spend most of the day on tumblr and reading… Hopefully I’ll be able to study a bit better tomorrow!
