This weekend I started my OneNote (Bullet) Journal. I am not 100 percent happy with it but i like it :) I think I will add another “Ziele” (goals) section for my language (Turkish and Farsi) goals tomorrow. (the images are from pinterest)
Since I’m studying oriental studies and comparative literature, I could / will post about that.
Further...
...about the languages I speak / learn:
German (native), especially (Upper) Austrian dialect, Austrian-German dialects
maybe French (I have literature classes in french)
Turkish (learning at university)
Arabic (have to learn it a bit for university)
Farsi / Persian
...about university and the educational system in Austria (since I live and study here), especially about the University of Vienna, how it is to study here, what do classes etc. look like.
Guess Who’s Back
So yeah I wasn’t on tumblr lately (more like the last year or so), a lot of things happened but now I’m back and highly motivated. I have been at university for a year and a half now (so I’m in my third semester) and I want this blog to be my university / learning new things / languages / student life diary.
There will be two more posts today, one about the things I thought I could write about in my blog and one about the things that I have to / want to do in February (because I have no courses the whole month).
Okay so this was a bit messy but my url has “chaotic” in it for a reason ^^.
So I decided to make the august polyglot challenge by @polysprachig in september with french words, and maybe in october for farsi words, but we’ll see :) As I want to become a director one day, I’ve made a list of vocabulary relating to film making :)
Sorry that I post nothing at the moment, but I’m at a music festival (Yesterday Bastille played 😄) and my learning books are at home 😉 But at Thursday I’m moving to Paris and then I’ll post more often. Do you want posts about french, farsi or german? Write me 😊
I hope you’re all doing well and the weather’s good!
German Music and Youtuber, Part 2
So in my first post about German (and Austrian) Music/Youtube there were only a few, and now here more of them :) Music: • Bilderbuch • Wanda (I know them both, but I don't listen to their music, so I can't say anything about them) • Deichkind (popular, I like their lyrics very much :)) • Käptn Peng und die Tentakel von Delphi ("Sockosophie" is a philosophical song, the lyrics are fantastic in my opinion) • Shaban & Käptn Peng (same guy with his brother, "Haus brennt" is a good song) • Dir Orsons (I don't know how many people know them, but I like their music and the song "Schwung in die Kiste" is good for motivation to clean/work out,... • Marten McFly (relativly unknown, a teacher from Berlin who's hobby is to rap, his lyrics are cool, and I know him personally) • Lemur (a friend of Marten, some more people know him, his song "Befehlskette" is very cool and I was an actress in one of his videos, but that isn't available yet) • Turbobier (well, thats difficult to describe... they live in Vienna, so they have an austrian accent, and they have a special image, but some of their songs are very funny) The last three musicians are in the list because I know them personally, a good friend of mine made music videos for them, so if you talk to other germans or austrians, it's likely that they don't know them. Youtuber: • Doktor Froid (they talk about computer games and movies) • Coldmirror (she's often called the "Queen of Youtube in Germany", some like her humor, some don't, just watch a video of her and decide ;)) • Doktor Allwissend (as the name says.. he knows all and makes videos about everything) • Robbubble (funny guy, makes often parodies and I don't know if you understand it without knowing german youtuber gossip) • mirrelativegal • Nilam (They are girls and I don't know which kind of videos they make) • Gronkh (he's been a youtuber since a veeeery long time, makes Let's plays) I hope you find something you like, if not, feel free to write me what kind of music/videos you like and I'll try to help! :)
I’ve made (actually I’m making it) a course on memrise with the vocabulary from my Persian-learning book called “Persisch für Anfänger” by Asya Asbaghi, published by Buske. They’re written in the Persian Alphabet, and I think People who know some vocabulary in German would be able to understand it. So, if you’re learning Persian or German or both, I’d be glad if you try it :)
Out of school!
Last week I got my Graduation degree and now I want to start learning Farsi and other languages / things :)
Nothing to do for school (actually no motivation to do something for school bc one week break now, yay) so I decided to learn something I want and ended up eating petit fours, listening to the "Pride and Prejudice" Soundtrack and reading about the development of the romanic languages from latin :)
After four weeks of studying i went to a ball yesterday and today i went shopping so now i have a new washi tape, sticky notes and two notebooks, but i have no idea what to do with them ^^
I highlighted all the words i didn't know (i have a special colour system for that) and underlined the ones that have a lot of different meanings. I'll write them in the "definition of terms" printable from studypal :)
Dinner for today: green beans with goat cheese and couscous :) Have to learn french now...
chose the daily planner from studypal and the highlighter in pink, so they’re matching with the tulips ^^
German Music and Youtubers
If you are learning german it may be helpful to listen to german music or watch videos in german, so here are some. Music: - Cro (mostly happy songs, i think not that difficult to understand) - Casper (not so happy, some songs more difficult because of the vocabulary, but he's worth trying [also he grew up in the US so he has kind of an accent]) - Marteria (nice songs with nice lyrics, sometimes thoughtful) - K.I.Z (not easy to understand, some critical songs, maybe you don't understand the meaning of them if you have no idea of politics in Germany, but google will help you ;)) - Sportfreunde Stiller (some songs kind of "love songs", but just kind of) And if you want to hear one of the austrian accents: https://youtu.be/l-XYBJOKNMg Youtube: - LeFloid (he talks about News, politics and stuff, very interesting, but fast) - Space Radio (they talk about nearly everything, very very funny, but also quite fast, i think) - Space Frogs (same guys, but this channel is for their sketches, so more video and not that much talking, probably easier to understand) - TheClavinover (he makes music and explains how to make music) - Malwanne (she makes everything and loves cats :)) - alive4fashion (make-up and hairstyle tutorials, diy) - Michael Buchinger (austrian guy with a nice accent, i can't describe his channel, so just visit him ;)) If you would like to know more musiciens/youtubers or other things about german or Germany/Austria, feel free to write me :)
