Meet Alvin - THE most charismatic, talented, funniest most charming 15 (nearly 16 he'll want me to mention that) year old lad. This kid has been through so much yet always has the BIGGEST smile on his face. He entrusted me with his story, dreams and aspirations and that alone is a gift that I'm so very grateful for. This kid is on the track to be whatever he wants to be in a world that has already attempted to limit him. to even try and comprehend how strong these women are to live their realities day in and day out is something so far stretched I wouldn't even know where to start. This is a dump site in Nakuru where many of the children and young people I made unreal connections with at sure24 are from and where some of their families still are. To think that someone owns this land and makes the people here PAY RENT is just something as a human you can't even begin to understand. The joy on their faces as they sang and danced with us welcoming us with open arms just made me appreciate the work sammy and millie do over at sure24 10x more. This shouldn't be the realities of humans but I'd be naive to think I could single-handedly change it, but if we all had an ounce of the same hope, compassion and outlook of life, it'd be steps in the right direction
