*He hears a distorted voice, seemingly coming from everywhere and nowhere all at once. They laugh,* "Wellll, hello there! This is new...! I've never been able to get this far out before... you seem interesting, though!" *Their tone is very cheerful. Their voice is slightly nasily and raspy. They sound young, maybe around twelve or thirteen.*
The gambler raises an eyebrow. Strange, but then again, Penacony isn't exactly a stranger to... interesting phenomena.
At least it wasn't his own voice; that pure Harmony hallucination coming back to haunt him again.
Kakavasha's lips tilt up slightly at the sides. Despite his confusion, there's something about the youthful laugh of a child that always fills him with a strange sense of joy, along with a bittersweet ache.
The blonde scans the area with a quick turn of his head. The other people walking about in Dream's End are few, but none of them seems to have heard the voice-- or if they have, they aren't speaking a word.
He can't see anybody speaking, though. So, he contents himself with staying perfectly still where he is.
❝ Far out..? Is this far from your home? ❞
The Avgin smiles wholeheartedly at the comment. ❝ Why, what an honour. You seem very interesting as well. My name is Kakavasha. ❞
Aventurine isn't sure why he didn't reply with his practiced introduction-- Aventurine of Stratagems, stoneheart of the Interastral Peace Corporation's Strategic Investment Department-- but there is something particular about this voice that puts him at ease.
Despite Penacony being an area where he cannot let his guard down, he feels safe, surrounded by this voice. Was that silly? ...Perhaps.
