This blog is going to go under a semi-hiatus and have low activity.Â
Meaning I won’t be officially gone on a full hiatus, and I can be reached via messages, but replies will be slowed due to school. Replies may be faster on weekends though and perhaps Fridays depending on schedule.
Activity will pick back up in May after finals.
“Ah...Well considering their ignorance in such things I’m not surprised that they think it’s witchcraft. Still sucks though that you can’t settle down or anything...Unless you like traveling.”
I tried a new drawing (well, painting) style,
Let me know what you think!
“Daaaamn, like a cockroach,”he said with a snort and a smirk. It didn’t bother Jacob that Hector had killed someone, and twice. He’d killed people before himself, and wasn’t against it. He just didn’t like doing it.
“ A what now? “What was this roach thing, anyway he stares at him for a moment and the sighs. “Well if you want, i can have one of my friends build a bed for you.”
“It’s a kind of insect that could survive a little while after its head is removed, they’re pretty gross though, carry diseases, stink…But anyway I would love it if you had one of your friends build a bed for me. After sleeping in a tree or on the ground, anything is welcome.”
He stares at him, this man was for real wasn’t he? after he gestated to a humanoid figure that looked about 5 inches tall, he whispered to hi to gather the other faeries to help build a bed. A cotton one would suffice.
“You aren’t allergic to goose down are you?”
“Nah, only allergic to silver.” He smiled softly towards him. Well technically he was “allergic” to silver in a loose sort of definition of “allergic”.Â
That was good news since he didn’t honestly know if he gained other allergies when he was changed. Then Hector whispered something under his breath that was only picked up by the innocent devils who left to go start their project.
Jacob looked around the room once he broke eye contact. He honestly hadn’t looked around much since he got in here with Hector, and was kind of curious about his surroundings.Â
It wasn’t a home someone lived in permanently, i was the stone remains of another home much older and probably about a hundred years old. Hector had patched holes in the walls in a shabby way as best as anyone could do with no carpentry skills. He had the innocent devils help with the construction which left chunks of stone in odd places melted together with high heat. There was a bookshelf and a box next to it that seemed to be portable, meaning when not in use they would be in the box and he’d be using i to travel.
Jacob wondered what sort of things this house had seen, what it had gone through in the past. It was pretty neat to him. “You have an interesting home by the way.” He looked over at Hector and smiled softly.

Moving is a common occurrence these days. Staying in the same place for too long might attract that Belmont. Or a different Belmont. After all, if there’s still one left, there could be more. And he’d rather not be sent back to Hell anytime soon.
There are many things one can encounter in between villages. This, however was a sight Blue definitely wasn’t expecting to see. “A vampire? Killing demons? With the tools of a Belmont, no less.”
He takes a careful sniff in the vampire’s direction. Just to be safe, to know if he should flee. Fortunately, this one doesn’t smell of that hunter’s bloodline. However, there is still something familiar in that scent. “And I smell that magician’s blood running through your veins, as well. You must be that one’s kin, are you not?”
“Yeah. You could say that. My name is Jacob Belmont so yeah, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to say that yeah, these are the tools of a Belmont. I made them myself actually,”he replied with a shrug, looking at Blue.Â
“Are you just wandering about?”Jacob asked, lifting a brow curiously. He didn’t reach for his whips yet, watching the beast closely.
“Funny. You don’t smell like a Belmont.” Maybe he should check again, just to be safe. He discreetly sniffs again. Yep. Definitely not any relation to that hunter. However, there is something else familiar in that scent, besides the magician. “In fact, you smell more like Dracula’s bloodline than the Belmont’s.”
That doesn’t actually make this vampire less of a threat. In fact, it makes him more of a threat. A Belmont is dangerous enough, but a hunter descended from Dracula is even more dangerous. Especially since this one is a vampire.Â
Blue keeps two his eyes on those whips as he answers. Another pair is keeping an eye on hs surroundings. And the last, the top pair, is watching this hunter, Jacob’s face. “Yes. All I seem to do is wander these days.”
Jacob froze when the creature in front of him said that he didn’t smell like a Belmont, and he just almost refused to believe that he was part of Dracula’s bloodline. “That....How is that possible? I find it terribly difficult to believe that I could be related to that monster, to Dracula. There’s no fucking way.” Did he even want to believe this monster? How could he know he was telling the truth? He could be lying to make him let his guard down. He let out a low growl deep in his throat.
“Daaaamn, like a cockroach,”he said with a snort and a smirk. It didn’t bother Jacob that Hector had killed someone, and twice. He’d killed people before himself, and wasn’t against it. He just didn’t like doing it.

“Well, im sorry that you have never before been so warmly welcomed! Also im glad you asked! Bare with me its quite a lot of information to take in.” He smiles and gestures for the vampire to walk with him.
“Zevlow is a large territory run by the ice wolf clan known as the howler clan. Their princess Sage Howler, rules here in zevlow which is a territory of thinder paw island and she runs this territory with an iron but loving paw, shes a real princess of the people!” Violet eyes twinkle as he speaks of their beloved ruler.
“The territory of zevlow itself is backed by the ocean and surrounded around almost its entire circumference by a mountain range known as the fang mountains, a very hostile and unfriendly and unforgiving mountain range which keeps us safe. It has one land exit through the mountains at the front and some sea passages through the jungle beach ports!” He spins on his heels in a circle, arms outstretched wide.
“Depending on where you enter zevlow you can wind up in a wide range of climates as our lovely territory is zoned!” Sean stops a moment and points to a map on the wall that holds a small keyed map of the entire territory.
“Each zone is a different climate that is maintained by a power crystal! That way all the different manner of species who live here can find a comfortable spot to lay their head no matter what! In the center of zevlow are two nutral zoned territories, they dont have power crystals that control the climate, they follow natures law. And those two zones are the marketplace and lightning claw city, which were in right now.” He gestures to the technologically advanced city around them.
“Lightning claw is the heart of our dear territory. The central technological hub! All matter of science and advanced magics are done here and distributed throughout the zones! We have cars, hover crafts, flying carpets and enchanted cairrages. Its a very busy place that runs completely off of green wasteless energy!” His voice is filled with pride when he speaks about it.
“And if you look at the map, you can see what each zone is like! Fascinating right? But the most fascinating part are the people! You see zevlow lies in the demonic realm, but the veils around here are thin and we often times get visitors or new residents by folks from the other three realms, human, angelic and magic, by folks just accidentally waltzing in like you yourself had done! You came through a known veil in the human realm!” Sean walks passed the map and urges the young vamp to follow along as he prattles off some more information.
“We have were creatures, mer folk, an array of avian species, vampiric creatures, demonic, angelic, elven, dwarven, halfling and human, orc and ogre- though their numbers are smaller than most as many are too domineering and violent to stay inside the mountains and often times leave for the fatal flatlands and bloodlands beyond our borders.” He visably shudders at the thought. Youd think a demon would love a place with a name as gruesome as that, but sean wasnt that type of demon.
“But! everyone lives in peace and harmony here. If they dont, Sage can choose to take extreme measures and we have unfortunately had a few public executions of folks who absolutely refused to uphold the law. Its a bit archaic and barbaric i know, but it works. Its really only for extreme measures and cases anyway. Murders, rapes, things of that nature.” He led them to a small tea house.
“Lets grab a bite to eat and drink. It may be overwhelming, but what do you think of our home so far?”
It was certainly a lot to take in for the young vampire, but he listened intently, finding quite a bit of interest in what the demon had to say about the place. It was absolutely fascinating to him, a place with so many creatures living in apparent peace and harmony.Â
“So far the idea of this place doesn’t sound too terrible, and what I’ve seen so far, which isn’t much, is lovely. I’m hoping that most folks I come across are at least half as kind as you.”
“Sorry, habit,”he huffed, glaring back before his head snapped in the direction of the sound. Jacob’s hands drift down to his whips where he grasped the handles of them once he came into contact with them.
“She knows we are here.” He looks around, but his eyes couldn’t spot her. The white hag, some type of Half harpy half human witch. She had been eating the children of the village and mocking the en with her emaciated form, vulgar features and feather embedded body. “She might have taken flight.”He drew his blade when he heard the cackling and circled around searching the skies, but didn’t check the ground.
Jacob unraveled his whips and looked around more at ground level, face serious, lips parted slightly. He would have bared his teeth if he didn’t pay attention to what he was doing.
If he did then Victor would have attacked him for it, The harpy screeched again and with taloned hands she lunged at him. Her speed was too fast for a normal human to dodge and Vic struggled to dog her attacks.
Jacob quickly turned and aimed one of his whips towards the harpy and aimed the other above and in front of it, taking care to try and avoid Victor. He really didn’t want to hit someone he was working with.
A new vampire! Hello! Welcome to zevlow! I do so hope you enjoy your stay! We have blood banks where you can get your blood, and we have areas where you can hunt wild things to sate your hunting instinct! Should you need any help ask for sean corwin!” The effeminate demon male smiles brightly, bowing a bit at the waist.
“Why thank you for such a kind greeting. What kind of place is Zevlow? I’m rather curious because I’ve never been welcomed so warmly before by a stranger.” Jacob smiled kindly towards the demon, not making any moves to fight or attack since he sensed no aggression.Â
“Daaaamn, like a cockroach,”he said with a snort and a smirk. It didn’t bother Jacob that Hector had killed someone, and twice. He’d killed people before himself, and wasn’t against it. He just didn’t like doing it.

“Plus I assume you’d have yours under control rather than wander and destroy everything that even so much twitches or breathes. I’m rather looking forward to the challenge though of solving the monster problem.”
“This is true, they tend to only remain near me, because I’m still alive, however when I die they will be off on their own.” He shrugs. “The village down from here would pay for a monster hunter, but I suggest something cheap first don’t ask for too much or they will deny you. I’d say 50 coin at the most. That would buy you some decent armor too.”
“Sounds good to me. Hopefully they won’t run me out as soon as I complete this service for them because really, that would suck. Looking like a vampire isn’t one of the best things in the world unless you’re around other vampires.”
“…” He shuffled over to a closet and pulled out a cloak, then tossed it to him. “Just wear a hood and no one will notice, people are dumb, they don’t even think I worked for Dracula half the time. And I have the seal of a forgemaster tattooed on my back like you have the Belmont crest. It’s a sort of thing we have to do in order to even become forgemasters. Isaac had his over his creepy nippless chest.”
“Well…Yeah, people are dumb, very very dumb. Though it’s interesting that you need to have a seal to be a forgemaster.” He had to laugh though at the description. “Nippless chest. Holy shit, was he born without them or did he get them removed??”
“I didn’t say it was a seal in a way that it seals me from something, it’s like a crest. I had to sacrifice many things in order to become one and to garner the power to summon creatures.” The nipple thing made his eyes raise. “I think he cut them off, he was pretty insane when he was alive, wore bondage gear and enjoyed pain in a sexual way often times in his room i’d hear him on purpose injuring himself to get the weird high from it. I wouldn’t put it past him for cutting them off himself an stitching the wounds closed.
“Ah...That makes sense...” He nodded a bit, then paused a bit. “Okay, he sounds pretty out there, but it’s not something I haven’t heard of before even though I’m personally not into pain. Definitely not into pain.”
