âTimeâs a weird thing.â He shrugged, chewing on his thumbnail. âI mean. If it only felt like a year to me. And itâs been a hundred for you. Then how do we know weâre not in some fucked up weird alternate universe and our paths only cross here around this area?â He yawned, closing his eyes against the sun. âLike, maybe next time I come here, Iâll be like 50. But it could be next week for you.â
áŠ;; â⊠Youâll be fifty and still digging through graves.â She chuckled, pressing one of her cheeks against the surface of her knee. A sharp inhale, eyes squinting at the sunlight. Fifty and sheâd be eighteen for the rest forâ- until she gets beheaded and burned. Not even immortals are completely immortal, a shame. âMaybe father time is just playing a horrible prank..âÂ
"Maybe we're already dead.." He yawned again. "Think about it. What if this is just a memory, us looking back on our life after we're already gone. What if this is just the life-flashing-before-our-eyes part, and we're seeing it in so much clarity that it feels real. Maybe that's why we have deja vu and all that shit." He thought about things like this a lot, he just never voiced them.
