#mood of the day

ooc; it’s been a FULL weekend, so I hope to be doing those starters today at some point. I will also be adding a BTVS / Angel OC on my multi if anyone is interested in saying henlo.

tina hadn’t planned on making A BIG DEAL out of her birthday. she never did, if she was honest. she hadn’t even told helena ( or had she ? she didn’t even remember that ). that was why, when she walked in to see the table laid out for her and absolutely delicious smells wafting in from the kitchen, she was almost OVERCOME with emotion.

she kissed her girlfriend back gently, fingers tenderly stroking her face. ❝ helena… you did all this for me ? it’s BEAUTIFUL. ❞

“well of course - now, it’s not what I usually do, I would have preferred to take you away for your birthday - BUT, you have responsibilities that you cannot just drop...you see, i’m learning.” she gave tina a soft smile and handed her a glass of wine and then kissed her so very softly.

“I hope you like dinner, It’s not exactly to everyone’s taste, but I think people should try it at least once.” On the table, sat several fresh oysters and she pulled the chair out, waiting for the blonde to sit.

she was usually one for extravagant gestures, holidays in Europe (everywhere except for where she grew up) but Tina was DIFFERENT, she didn't seem interested in what was normal for Helena, and so instead of boarding a plane, she had cooked a meal and was finishing the table when she came in.

“Hi.” she was NERVOUS, as she moved in place a soft kiss on Tina’s lips. “Happy Birthday darling.” / @tinakennrd

helena, helena helena. the heiress who tries too hard to win affections with money. befriending people through kindness is something she hasn’t ever been shown how to do, there is a lack of sentimentality in her actions which results in people finding difficulty in understanding her.

truthfully, she barely understands herself, but she knows that she can’t loose, nor can she accept the fault others find in her. it must be their fault instead; and so the heart that she wears on her sleeve is guarded and filled with a false bravado that she hopes no-one will see through if she CONQUERS everything they ever desire in life.
