the life of a showgirl
Hmmm hello?!?!!
Welcome back eye theory 🤣
Taylor Swift reveals that her favorite Taylor's Version re-recording is 'Red'
''I really liked them all but i think Red was very special. There were songs that I called 'From The Vault' songs. And there is one which I think is maybe my favorite song I've ever written called 'All Too Well (10 Minutes Version)'. There were originally so many verses on that song that ended up being on the album that I had put out when I originally put out Red. I made the glorious fortuitous mistake of saying that to my fans in an interview. Basically, I said that in an interview to my fans and they just like hung on to it. They were like 'where's the 10 minute version? give us the 10 minute version.' and when it came the time to do 'Taylor's version' and we were re-recordnig the album I went back and found the verses, restructured the song to the way it pretty much was when I had originally written it and that song is one of my favorite things i've ever done.''

it's so crazy of her to say that she couldn't improve on not only reputation as an album but SPECIFICALLY the photos while wearing an eye ring.
right???? like i am literally going crazy over here it’s so fucking perfect 🤣
exactly 💅🏼
the timingggggggggggggggggggggg 😮💨🙌
the way she posted this literally two hours before taylor and the video is her flashing the peace sign i-
Ours. 💚💛💜❤️🩵🖤
thinking about how taylor signed off her tumblr post about scooter acquiring her masters in 2019 with “sad and grossed out” versus her signing off her letter about officially owning her entire life’s work with “elated and amazed”… i guess you could say that this pain wouldn’t be for evermore 🥹
'what kind of music do u listen to?'
'what are your plans for the weekend?'
'where do u see urself in 5 years?'
she really said REP was and still is that bitch™️ and if you’re lucky I will release the vault tracks 😈
✨ONCE AGAIN LETS READ HER OWN WORDS:
“I know, I know. What about Rep TV? Full transparency: I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it.
The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief.
To be perfectly honest, it’s the one album in those first 6 that I thought couldn't be improved upon by redoing it. Not the music, or photos or videos. So I kept putting it off.” — taylor swift
taylor has reiterated a feeling that we have all felt strongly about in the last few years; reputation, for all that it is and was, cannot be duplicated. because in her own words, reputation was born out of deep sadness, anger and her desperate longing to be understood and seen.
the stare in her most iconic cover, the photoshoots, the videos, the production, the angst, the specific defiance — you had to be there. it cannot possibly be duplicated. its an album and an era that keeps giving, that keeps revealing itself to this day.
for those of us who saw her, who continue to see her, that album will always hold a special place in our hearts because for the first time, she opened up in a way that we’ve never seen — showing quiet glimpses of her true story, amongst all the noise. it really was “a love story amongst chaos.” it was rage and it was poetry. she protected what she loved.
she gave us the reputation prologue— the best prologue she has ever written, which we refer back to like its bible because it is. it’s always a good time to reread the rep prologue because it will always be relevant.
and as much as we wanted her eloquent deep dives, interviews and thoughts about reputation, there will still rightly be no further explanation, there will just be reputation.
