“Just a beer, thanks.” Zack slid onto one of the stools at the bar, giving the the bartender a grin before turning to the rest of the room. It had been awhile since he had visited the Emporium, since he had been busy enough that he hadn’t really felt the need. It was only really now that they were heading very quickly into the Christmas season that he found himself wanting more company. Not that he was really intending to go upstairs tonight - or at least, wasn’t especially counting on it - but someone to talk to would be nice. Somebody other than his roommate, who was busy fussing over last minute orders from his over-priced online store, or his drinking buddies from work who had wives and families they would spend the holiday with. Not that he was bitter, not at all. Envious certainly: mostly just disappointed to be spending another year by himself. The burly man looked around the room curiously, eyes unashamedly lingering on the stage for awhile before returning to his search for someone to talk to. His drink was set in front of him, distracting him for a moment as he thanked the bartender and paid, before he took another quick glance around him. Anyone would do really, he just needed a change of pace from usual.

Sharron arched her back, stretching out the muscles to put herself back to rights. She stepped into the dress forgotten on the floor, pulling it up and over her shoulders and did up the buttons on the front to secure it. Her long hair was frizzed from the session, so she tied it back to rest against her spine and pulled her sweater over the short sleeves of her dress.

The service was always nice, but sometimes it was awkward  to stick around after the fact, so Sharron finished readying herself and left the man behind with a small wave over her shoulder and a whispered, "Thanks, see you later."

It was in the bar getting ready to leave for the evening when the small bit of loneliness hit Sharron. Since her husband passed away, the people flitting in and out of the house had dwindled to just herself and the help. Deciding it was too early to turn in for the night, Sharron changed her course from the door to the bar top.

"I'll take a rum and coke, please, Captain Morgan if you have it," the woman requested of the bartender. The bar was fairly busy this evening, but plenty of room to sit, so she took a seat on a stool, near a man she had seen in town plenty of times.

Sharron nodded to dismiss the hostess and turned her full attention to Charles.
