It's a Shoji screen in my house. Shoji is installed in most Japanese-style rooms. It is like a substitute for curtains in current. The white part of the Shoji is made of Japanese paper Washi. （和紙 [Washi] wikipedhia) 

Traditionally, it was customary to replace the paper with new Washi during the year-end cleaning. Because it will tear or turn yellow. Apply glue（starch adhesive) to the wooden frame and paste Washi. However, in modern times, Shoji paper made of plastic film is also available for convenience and durability. The same goes at my house. I'm a little tired, but all I have to do is wait. Best wishes for the new year! ---------- 私の家の障子です。 障子は、ほとんどの和室に設置されています。現代ではカーテンの代わりのようなものです。 障子の白い部分は、和紙で構成されています。 伝統的には、年末の大掃除の際に新しい和紙に貼り換えるのが通例でした。破れたり黄ばんだりするからです。 木枠に植物性の糊を塗り、和紙を貼ります。 現代では利便性や耐久性の面から、プラスチックフィルム製の障子紙もあります。自宅の障子もそうです。 作業は少々疲れましたが、あとは新年を待つだけです。 よいお年を！
