The AMAs have just become the most pivotal awards ceremony of the decade. That show will be a telling moment in the industry and for a very important reason. You are going to have a musician standing on that stage, accepting the highest honor of Artist of the Decade. You are going to have the very first female musician in the history of the AMAs accepting this honor and title. She is going to be standing on that stage, in a room with all of the biggest names in the music industry watching, listening. And she is being blackmailed, silenced into not performing her own music, music that she has created, because of two power hungry, controlling men. She has worked tirelessly, and put so much dedication and time into her craft over the last 13 years, and has EARNED the right to be called Artist of the Decade, only to be silenced because again, two men are terrified of letting her be completely free. 

Make no mistake. The AMAs have just become the most important moment for Taylor Swift and the music industry. And she will speak up. And the music industry better be fucking listening when she takes that stage.

The easter eggs are all starting to reveal themselves and make sense, especially those in the ME! music video. Look how far we’ve come y’all!

This scene in the ME! music video was a reference to The Man.

There are cornelia flowers on the ME! single cover and they were also displayed in the background of Taylor’s Wango Tango set, a clear reference to the song Cornelia Street.

The Archer was referenced in the You Need To Calm Down video. (You can also see cupid’s holding bow and arrows in the ME! music video).

Cruel Summer was referenced in the You Need To Calm Down music video when Ellen Degeneres got a (fake) tattoo of the song title on her arm.

Soon You’ll Get Better feat. Dixie Chicks was hinted at when The Dixie Chicks appeared on the wall of the room at the beginning of the ME! music video also referencing the lyric ‘cool chicks’.

This mural was the major easter egg and reveal for ME! feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco.

You Need To Calm Down was referenced at the beginning of the ME! music video when Brendon Urie said the song title in French.

The album title and song Lover were both referenced in the ME! music video. The Christmas tree was a play on the Lover lyric, ‘’We can keep the Christmas lights up until January’’ and the sign post in the background of one scene revealed the album title.

There may be possible references to London Boy too as we can see London landmarks that appear in the background of the ME! music video.

These are pretty obvious now, I know, and I’m sure most of you have figured all of these out. But, I think it’s pretty awesome how much attention to detail Taylor pays and how well thought-out her work is. She really keeps things interesting for us and wants to make sure things are fun and entertaining for her fans. I cannot wait to see more and more easter eggs get revealed to us and start to make sense throughout the era.
