not sure if anyone is too concerned — but for anyone worried: the MAP is still in progress, i’ve just not been working on it the past few days because i’m out of town on a trip :]

i’ve mentioned before that i have a plan for the full video, but it will take a while to do the animatic..
HOWEVER, i’ve realized there’s a good amount of people in MAPs who don’t always want an animatic—they want an idea and then creative freedom for their animation
so here is the majority of Suburbia Overture with my animation ideas/plans over it, and animatics in the parts where I’ve already made them.

Sketches. I listened to like all the song suggestions on shuffle so at this point I don't know which specific song I was trying to portray but considering the tpd album cover I took for color palette you can guess. I also just in general like Bernadette and I'm a huge sucker for religious imagery.
I'll make an animatic for love me normally by will wood but not frame by frame because my hands hurt drawing that shit bro wtf.
found my stylus!! only got through this little section today but im happy enough with the result!
i dont draw features very much on the people because i want the figures to be clear and easy to understand but briefcase guy is paul of course, and his dance partner is meant to be the homeless man
your map looks like a very cool project, were you planning on releasing a google form or something for signups when the animatic is finished?

I will post the full map call with sections numbered out and i’ll have a google form for people to fill out with what they want to do and any preferances on contacting them :]
also i will probably set up a discord server so the people involved or interested can chat, which would also have all the needed information!!

disclaimer: the drawings are NOT GOOD. i can’t find my stylus so i’ve been forced to finger paint and i can’t quite figure out the right middle ground between adding enough detail that people can understand / reference it… but not spending a crazy amount of time on something that won’t even be in the final product.
i dont love posting this because of how messy it is but i think this project will get more reach if i consistently post about it so im gonna try to get out of my comfort zone :]

i’ve noticed a severe lack of MAPs (Multiple Animator Projects) for hatchetfield despite the amount of animatics i’ve seen, and realized I probably couldn’t just wait for someone else to start one… so here i am!
(this is NOT an OFFICIAL map call. The song is chosen and parts are planned but the animatic is not finished at all :/)
This post is me begging on my hands and knees PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING / JOINING when its released!!!! i am so so so scared i will spend a crazy amount of time on the animatic and then only like two people will be willing to join :(

i love hatchetfield so so much i really want to have a cool animation / animatic that features all sorts of fun hatchetfield details but i just cannot pull this off on my own..
no dude it's so cool how attached you are to that character who is singled out and ostracized due to the external monstrousness that clashes with their internal spark of humanity. and i love how drawn you are to themes of horror and love, nature versus nurture, otherness, isolation, and the abject. i bet you have normal feelings about your own personhood
