[ SpeedPaint ] Moonlit Night - African Landscape Art Time Lapse
Recently I watched the new Frozen Short on Disney+ called Myth and I fell in love with the art style that they used. So I decided to try and recreate that style with this art piece. For the colors and environment, I drew inspiration from Black Panther when T'Challa goes to the Ancestral Plane. The blues and purples in that scene always stuck out to me and I really wanted to recreate the feel of that.
At one point I almost decided to leave it as a landscape, but as I was adding in the foreground my mind decided to throw in a couple of meerkats observing the land before heading below for the night. The tree was looking lonely and since I was already pulling from Black Panther, I figured why not go all in and add a melanistic leopard chilling in the tree as well.
Overall, I am very happy with how this turned out. I had a lot of fun working on this and I will probably do other landscapes in this style in the future. Just goes to show that it doesn't hurt to try out new styles and techniques sometimes. :)
[ SpeedPaint ] Sunset by the Ocean - Rowlet, Charizard & Kyogre - Art Ti...
Hey everyone, A A here bringing you another speed paint video!
It's been a while since my last time lapse art video; I had planned to get this uploaded sooner but unfortunately this piece took me a month and a half to complete. Going into this project I knew it would probably take me longer to finish than usual, however I didn't expect it to take this long. For some reason I kept hitting mental blocks with this one at certain points and due to it taking longer, I also started to get burned out on the piece. It honestly felt like I was fighting an uphill battle and that I was never going to finish. I was finally able to push through by taking it one step at a time and focused instead on completion of individual parts as opposed to everything as a whole. Once I got into that mindset, everything started coming together bit by bit and I finally reached the finish line!
As for the piece itself, I wanted to create an image that incorporated my 3 favorite Pokemon in it as well as a more complex composition compared to what I usually do. On top of that, I decided to experiment with the background as well. Usually I free hand the background around my characters based off the initial sketch, but this time I decided to create line art for everything including the environment. At this point I'm not sure which I like better, there are pros and cons to both ways, though I am happy with how it turned out for this piece.
At the end of the day, while this piece did stress me out a lot at times, I'm very happy with how it turned out. It also feels good to know that I worked through something hard, didn't give up and saw it through to its end. Feeling accomplished is nice! XD
Anyways, hope y'all enjoyed the video & art and I'll see ya next time!

[ SpeedPaint ] Aurora Night Art Time Lapse
First speedpaint and art of 2021!
This came from a desire to draw something cute, but at the same time do something different. Never drawn Amaura or Aurorus before and only recently used one in Sword & Shield since I caught a shiny one. Overall, it's a good pokemon with a very nice design in my opinion. Took longer to complete than I'd like due to real life happenings, but I'm quite pleased with the completed piece. Art created with Procreate.
[SpeedPaint] Trapinch Intro Animation Art Time Lapse
Started working on an animation project since the beginning of November and decided to post a speed paint of the intro.
This being my first attempt at an animation of this length, I figured it would be cool to share the process with everyone! :)
Completed animation can be viewed on my DeviantArt.

Haven’t posted any art in the past month due to moving and being sick. Better now and mostly unpacked, so now I can get back to arting! XD
Wanted to create something cute, so I made a happy little cosmic shamie. :3
Really happy with how it turned out, especially happy with how quickly I got it done. I’m usually rather slow even when I try to limit myself on time. XD

As the sun began to set as she made her way back to the Outlands, Zira couldn't help but reflect on what had just occurred. She had been out patrolling the borders between the Outlands and the Pridelands, making sure nothing was amiss on her side while hoping to spot weaknesses on the other. Luck was with her today because as she passed near the river, she happened to catch Kovu's scent, far too fresh for it to have been from a prior excursion. Quickly following his trail, she felt her heart stop as she saw Kovu and another cub barely escaping the jaws of hungry crocodiles. Relief flooded her as she saw them peer over the edge and mock the large reptiles, however this left her with another problem. Kovu was now in the Pridelands. Moving as quickly as she could over a fallen log, Zira crouched down and observed the cubs for a moment. Hatred filled her once it became apparent that the other cub was in fact Simba's daughter and she paused for a moment, mulling over whether it would be better to simply kill the cub or abscond with her to the Outlands. Her choice was abruptly taken from her as Simba roared onto the scene, placing himself between Kiara and Kovu. Zira didn't hesitate, responding with her own roar of defiance, she squared off against Simba and almost went for him. Confident in her abilities as a fighter and with the king by himself save only his daughter, Zira felt she could win this fight. Unfortunately, the rest of Simba's pride arrived and Zira had to rethink her strategy if she wanted to walk out of this situation with both her and Kovu in one piece. So she followed the advice passed down to her from her mother. Act like you're in charge, be mean and show no weakness. Putting on an air of confidence and throwing out remarks she knew would piss off Simba, even going so far as to turn her back on him a couple times, she played out her performance. All with an evil smirk on her face. Her final trick, literally offering up her son to Simba, sealed her victory and with a final parting remark, she had quickly gathered up Kovu and made her way back to the Outlands. Though her outward appearance exuded an air of someone not to be messed with, inside Zira could still feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. She knew that encounter could have just as easily ended poorly for herself and Kovu. Next time they might not be so lucky. So she vowed there would be no next time. She would harshly deal with her eldest son Nuka, for it was his job to keep watch over his brother and his failure had nearly cost Kovu his life. Kovu would not go unpunished either. Zira had no idea what possessed him go so close to the border, but she planned to squash any ideas of a repeat performance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I decided to add a little story to this one and give my idea of what was going on in Zira's head during and after her encounter with Simba. Poor Kovu knows he's in trouble and is wisely staying quiet. Â Been a while since I've written anything, but it was fun. Hardest part was figuring out the first few words, after that it got easier.
Speed paint video below! :)
Here’s the speed paint for my Mew!
Used Filmora9 to make this video, so far I’m liking the program. :)
Mew Genesis Supernova, aka: cat playing with round, shiny object.
Here's Mew playing with it's Genesis Supernova ball of doom. Why, because it can and Mew does what Mew wants. Based on the official art designs from way back in the day when Mew had different colored feet and tail tip. Speed paint will be posted later once I get the video editing program to work correctly. Hope y'all like!
Drew a little dreepy this weekend who came out looking thoroughly unimpressed with everything. XD This little one fought with me in the beginning. Having never drawn a dreepy before, I thought it would be easy since it's design is fairly simple. Oh how wrong I was. I don't know why, but whenever I have trouble with a design, it always seems to be the "simple" ones. Oh well, I worked through it and even though I went into it with the idea of a happy expression on it's face, I am quite happy with the expression I went with.
See the muppet-esque nightmare fuel it started as transform to the dreepy you see today in the video below.
Speed paint for my orca pod art.
With that I’m caught up on speed paint videos of art I’ve already done. Will be posting another one later along with a new piece of art. :D
