So Stars Wars VII: wasn’t unpleasant to watch: strong art direction and practical/special effects.

It was a creaking facsimile, with all the poorly mended seams visible, of a soulless JJ Abrams pastiche: a grinding over-loud hurdygurdy cranking out tuneless nostalgia for box office profit. $1 billion can’t be wrong, though, I guess.
