Difference between set and sequence
Set is a group of the same number cards. Example: 7,7,7,7. A sequence is a group of cards from the same suit with consecutive numbers. Example: 2,3,4 or 10, Jack, Queen, King
Difference between pure and impure sequence
When three or more cards of the same suit are grouped in a consecutive order like 8,9,10,J it is called a pure sequence. An impure sequence is also a group of cards from the same suit arranged in a consecutive order, but one of the cards can be a joker.
After the cards are dealt you have to:
Try and form a pure sequence because without that you cannot make a valid declaration.
Remember that in case you lose the game you would want to have fewer points. So, always get rid of cards with higher points especially if they are of no use to you.
Try to use the joker whenever you can and avoid picking cards from the discard pile.
