I'm trying to combat my hesitation to do backgrounds lately and I've been messing around with different techniques (and shortcuts lol)

Lol it's been SO long since i did a proper background for anything, was playing around with different values trying to see what looks good and give it that comic vibe, I took some liberties with the suit and I'm personally quite happy with how it turned out!

Finally finished this piece after months of reworking. Far from perfect, but I’m glad it’s done. Inspired by the amazing Bruno Redondo, Dan Mora, and especially Dexter Soy.

Fun fact, when I was a young teen and first learned about Jason and his backstory and the white hair thing it was at the same time I learned about how bodies hair can lose color. So I thought that the hair tuft was something he had from when he started to decay in his grave and thought 'wow that's so metal'

I was extremely confused when later I saw people calling it pit magic?

Another fun fact, the jacket is based off my grandfather's old leather coat so that's probably why I spent the most time on it lol 💜
