So over Summer I've pretty much been working 24/7, I've gained so much experience and I'm on the career path I want to be for the rest of my life, I've made friends with some of the most selfless, down to earth and generous people I have ever met and honestly even though I sometimes have to get up at 4am for an 8 hour reception shift or spend 4 hours a day on housekeeping making beds and cleaning bathrooms I love it and its made me have an entirely different view of the world and stop taking things for granted And last week I started working for the Students Union at my uni and even though I've only done 3 shifts we're all starting to gel as a little family and I'm so so excited to see what the next year holds for us At the start of summer I was scared that working 6 days a week would completely ruin my social life and it hasn't like I still see all the uni friends who stayed in the area over summer, even though I haven't really been on a night out in a while I don't even mind because the way I see it, it means more to have a coffee date than a drinking sesh Long story short, I'm incredibly proud of myself and my summer and my life right now and I wouldn't change it for anything
