I’m ready for fall. I’m ready for the chill in the air. I’m ready for cloudy days and rusty-red leaves. I’m ready for Halloween. You and I disguised in each other’s arms. I’m ready to be tangled into you underneath sheets, closer and closer to keep warm. I’m ready for nights spent watching horror flicks. Palms sweaty and eyes covered as I reach for your arm for assurance. But I guess for now I’ll try to enjoy the last bits of summer. 🌱

It almost feels like forever ago that we were getting lost in the jungles of Ubud. It’s unsettling how fast time flies and how memories begin to blur together. One thing I know for sure is that I’ll never forget this moment. You were driving the scooter and I was holding onto you as we sped past the countryside on your way to our destination. It was raining lightly, clouds were out and the sun was setting. The golden rays leaked through the clouds and all you could see is the light shimmering through the rain. In that moment I knew I was exactly where I needed to be.
