"You're right!" She smiled happily. "We definitely could."
He grinned as the waiter came to take their orders. He ordered a water and grilled cheese before looking to her.

“Well remember that Austin guy? He’s–well he’s–I can’t believe I’m saying but he’s my boyfriend. I feel like if I say it out loud, I’ll jinx it. Not that I really believe in that type of stuff.”
“That’s awesome, Malone! I’m happy for you.”

"Valid point. I suppose the two of us will just stick with bonfires for now."
"I'm okay with that." He grinned. "We could have one this weekend."

"Luckily I won't be demanding you to do that any time soon." She laughed softly.
"That's probably a good thing. It might take a lot of digging."
Well maybe you can introduce me at school some day?
Absolutely. I would love to.
Great, then it’s settled.
Good! How’s your love life?

"Seriously? For real?" Izzy giggled happily, leaning back in her chair with a giddy smile planted firmly on her face.
"Of course! I would move mountains for you if I could." He smiled back at her.

Izzy smiled as she listened to him, his own smile was contagious to her and she couldn't help but learn forward as he spoke. "Oh that would so awesome!" She exclaimed happily. "I'd love that."
He grinned. He knew she would and he was determined to do anything and everything in his power to make her smile. "Then it's already done."

She mouthed a thank you to him as they headed inside and she found them a table. "Well, I mainly saw the clearing where we were staying. But the sunset there is probably one of the most breathtaking things I've ever seen, plus there was a bonfire and I think that's just great atmospherically. And all of Seth's friends were actually really cool."
He took a seat across from her at the table she picked as he listened intently, hanging on every word. He grinned as she spoke, happy that she had had such a good time. "That's really great, Iz." He said, his smile still on his face. "We should have a bonfire around here sometime." He commented.

"What about it do you want to know?" She asked him, briefly stopping to point out a small cafe that looked like a nice place to stop.
He nodded and turned, heading for the door. He pulled it open, holding it for her. "Anything and everything. Your favorite places. The best things you saw. The people you met." He said with a smile.

She returned his smile, following along after him, feeling much happier this time around.
"Tell me more about California." He said after a few moments.

"Yeah, I think so." She said carefully.
He gave her a small smile before finally breaking eye contact and turning, this time pulling her with him.

"You've got nothing to be sorry for." She said quietly, nudging him softly as she returned the hand squeeze.
He shrugged in response. He didn't believe her. "Should we eat now?"

"There. That's better." She said softly, stepping forward and taking his hand in hers as if nothing had happened.
He didn't break eye contact with her. He didn't want to. When her hand took his he squeezed it gently, subconsciously. "Sorry." He murmured.

Izzy watched him as he stopped looking at her and just took off away from her. She knew he was expecting her to follow but part of her felt like he didn't want her to. "Y'know -- if you don't want to really go get the food we don't have to, but if you do, I think actually making eye contact is going to help you here."
He stopped and turned, his eyes meeting hers. There would never be a time when he didn't want to be around her. And maybe that would make him a masochist but he was far too in love with her eyes to never see them again.

Izzy stopped dead in her tracks, taking s few seconds to process what he had just said and whether or not he was being serious about it. When she realised that he was she stammered a little bit, faltering slightly. "That's uh -- I'm -- uh -- that's... Nice..."
Aaron kept his cool on the outside but on the inside he was freaking out. He should have just kept his mouth shut. But if he had learned anything it was to tell people how you feel when you feel it because sometimes you don't get the chance again. "Sorry." He said looking away slightly. "Let's just get food yeah?" He said, pulling away and heading in the direction of food. He didn't want to make her feel bad but he also wasn't sure how to handle the searing pain in his gut.
