❛  I  can  tell.  ❜  The  PLAYFULLY  RUDE  remark  escaped  rose-colored  lips  that  were  a  part  to  Yukako’s  nearly  sympathetic  expression  for  Kakeru.  Their  home  economics  class  teacher  stressed  on  meals  that  were  on  the  healthy  side,  and  assigned  the  class  into  groups  of  three  to  make  a  meal  from  their  recipe  book.

One  gathered  the  ingredients,  one  chopped  them,  the  other  cooked:  Kakeru  getting  the  second  task  while  Yukako  had  to  do  the  third.  Arms  drop  from  their  crossed  state  and  a  hand  extended  towards  Kakeru,  waiting  for  the  knife  to  drop  into  her  palm.

so  ,  like  ,  the  fact  that  kakeru  had  punched  his  coach  /  club  sponsor  is  fucking  hardcore  -  the  fact  that  he  did  it  because  he  thought  the  coach  was  being  callous  and  pushing  students  way  too  hard  is  super  telling  of  what  type  of  person  he  is  .   which  is  :  he  will  literally  fight  for  a  stranger  if  he  thinks  they’re  being  mistreated  .

and  like  he  can ‘ t  control  his  emotions  my  ass  ;  he  watched  for  months  stewing  in  that  negativity  as  an  underclassmen  destroyed  his  body  .   he  shouldered  the  isolation  he  hates  more  than  anything  for  3  years  .    those  are  not  the  examples  u  use to prove  this  point  show  ;  it’s  him  getting  mad  at  aotake in episode 3(?)  ,  at  haiji  because  he  didn’t  think  they  are  trying  as  hard  as  they  can  .    

him  rightfully  punching  an  adult  who  is  neglecting  the  health  of  the  children  he’s  supposed  to  be  coaching  (  and  telling  them  that  everyone  is  suffering ,  so  you  just  need  to  try  harder  )  is  not  my  version  of  him  doing  something  bad  as  a  result  of  a  culmination  of  the  feelings  he  couldn ‘ t  keep  bottled  up  anymore  .    that  stupid  old  man  had  it  coming  to  him  and  i  don ‘ t  care  what  y ‘ all  think  of  me  for  saying  that  bc  honestly  .    how  could  he  literally  sit  there  and  watch  an  underclassmen  be  neglected  and  abused  by  a  shitty  coach  and  do  nothing  ?

ah  ,  but  kakeru  is  hardly  the  man  to  seek  life  advice  from  !    much  less  is  he  the  man  to  spout  it  .    lips  stay  sealed  on  this  topic  ,  not  moving  to  necessarily  condemn  or  affirm  ;  instead  ,  he  leaves  behind  his  simple  words  as  his  only  confrontation  of  the  idea  .

Oh brother…Noise levels like these are quite a nuisance for their ears for the same exact reason it is for everyone else in the vicinity. At least for the ones that really wish it were quieter instead.

Because the other couldn’t hear what they were saying, Nariko initially thought of using sign language. Of course, not everyone is well-versed to it, so they went for the next best thing; pulled out a small drawing board and scribbled on it the following:

“ I asked if you were feeling well, but with this noise, I can understand if not. ”

They showed what was written before erasing it to write something else. That board is quite helpful in times like this. They wrote something else this time:

“ Let’s go speak outside, okay? So much discord is not good for either one of us. ”

if  there  was  anything  that  kakeru  had  not  expected  .  .  .  it  was  the  appearance  of  A  DRAWING  BOARD  of  all  things  .    even  though  he  had  not  been  anticipating  its  entrance  into  the  situation  ,  the  young  man  was  quite  grateful  to  be  offered  another  form  of  communication  .    dark  ,  metallic  irises  follow  the  other ‘ s  movements  as  they  write  -  quickly  ,  they  finish  scribbling  their  words  on  the  board  and  turned  it  his  way  ,  so  he  could  read  it  .

one  could  say  that  their  written  word  was  partially  the  truth  :  with  all  of  this  noise  surrounding  the  two  of  them  ,  it  was  hard  to  feel  at  peace  .    but  -  !    if  kakeru  were  to  simply  take  time  to  rest  his  nerves  after  he  is  through  with  this  situation  ,  his  day  would  not  be  bad  .    only  slightly  stressful  .  .  .  but  that  statement  holds  no  weight  ,  when  the  young  man  finds  himself  not  feeling  well  at  moment  .  .  .  sending  his  gaze  to  stare  at  their  visage  ,  he  speaks  :          ❝    I ‘ LL  BE  OKAY  ;  BUT  .  .  .  THE  NOISE  IS  BOTHERSOME  .  .  .    ❞

the  words  are  barely  out  of  his  mouth  when  his  vision  catches  the  other  writing  something  else  ;  what  else  was  there  to  discuss  if  he  had  already  answered  their  question  ?    the  board  once  again  comes  to  face  him  ,  his  eyes  hurrying  to  take  in  the  words  newly  written  .    

ah  -  so  they  wanted  to  talk  more  ?    he  can ‘ t  say  he  would  be  a  great  conversation  partner  ,  but  if  they  wish  to  speak  more  ,  kakeru  would  be  fine  with  going  outside  !    he  nods  ,  to  show  affirmation  ,  but  words  meet  the  air  to  give  an  explicit  confirmation  .          ❝    ALRIGHT  .    ❞
