I think i’m going to be on here a looot more after i move out (ON SATURDAY!!)
I should probably be optimistic and think “I’ll finally have time to translate that!” “I’m going to seriously prepare for topik!” (my motivation has gone lmao I’ll come back to korean in a few years after i’ve lived a bit. feel like going back for any period of time would put my life on pause rn) “I’m going to join a spanish study group!” (we’re making one at work) - but probably I’m just going to look at more pictures of cats haha
It’s going to be nice to travel with my parents before totally moving too. Praying that conditions are good for northern lights next week!
i-think-i-really-like-this-guy-but-i’m-trying-to-be-really-chill-about-it :/
I need to sort out 7 years worth of stationery now.
i’m the person who’s 100% down for spontaneous adventures but also 100% down to lay in bed all day. i’m on both ends of the spectrum
That time when Spain didn't exist
This is a milestone of the Internet

9-6 weeks are for seeing mates, sharing meals and drinking. This one has been a good one.
I think I have found my next home - going to take a second look at it today. I know I could get better value for money, but if I miss this I know I’ll be annoyed.
I won a shit ton of lush stuff at work. every other day, a lovely bath!
We went to a vintage weigh and pay sale and I got many good things. People were so nice there too. People usually get super competitive at these things :/
Starting a new project at work this week, and I’m low-key excited about it. because I might get to talk to some famous people. or their agents, anyway ha.
need to plan some more trips! next year... should probably finally go to latvia again. poland. Maybe Croatia or something for somewhere warm..... still thinking.

so. i have recently kinda started seeing this guy. who is the furthest kind of far from any ‘ideals’ i may have had and generally has very little in common with people either (in real life or celebrities or anything) i like/ have been interested in before. like... from my impression so far this man doesn’t give 2 shits what he’s wearing, he has scratchy facial hair and always says super cheesy things. to which I COULD have just been “well this guy isn’t my style”.. “ewww scary facial hair”... “uuugh stop saying corny shit to me that’s grossssss”. \
BUT I DIDN’T.
and ya know what i don’t carrreeeeeeeeee. i sSoooooo don’t care. this is SUCH a good time and i realise it’s so important to challenge your ideals.
also completely disassociating my language-learning from a relationship is SO FREEING OH MY GOD. (but English isn’t his first language lmao)
plus this is fun and he’s been super down to earth and open and i know he’s not going to suddenly be like “well, I like you. and you’re really pretty. but you’d be prettier if you lost some weight.”
regardless of what happens, or even if this doesn’t turn out so great - what a lesson to learn.
basically. yeah.
its time to move mountains
e v e r y thing
so... germany was crayyyy. what a night out.
also my aunt was great. i am so pleased i met her. if we meet again, i need to plan what i want to ask her and take a dictaphone though. i should also do this more with my grandpa, thinking about it.
so... that guy i met in the street? woah. just woah.
there’s a position coming soon at work. my tc told me to go for it, even though i hadn’t thought about it. i guess i will try it. working for this company would actually be sweeeeeeet. (for real. i want to help bring this shit to korea too. that would be a great scenario for me.)
hey, i should also apply for topik right now. and get studying jesus i haven’t done anything for months.
met one of my best friends from korea in london. i get on with her much better when i speak korean (does that make sense?) but I just couldn’t do it (well. another non-korean speaker was with us and that’s my excuse but I still know it was shit of me to not make the effort.)
we had dinner in the shard man. it was classy. i wish i’d thought about it more and dressed up nice and not been too freaked out to order something more expensive. i guess i made up for it buying drinks though so...
anddddd only 4 weeks until my next holiday! wahoooo!
yesterday evening i was in town getting some euros and miniature toothpaste for my trip and stuff before work. I have to walk around a small park to get there and on the far side, this guy literally came out of nowhere and was like, “Are there meant to be cows here?” wtf? “Well. On midsummmer common they have cows. it’s pretty strange for me to see cows in a public space in the city. Is that normal here?” Yeah.. thinking about it, there are a lot of cows in cam.... “Well, I just moved here and it’s not something I’ve seen before.” He says he’s going to the gym which is the same direction as me but opposite ways on the corner. So I’m like, whatever. I can handle this guy for that long. Somehow he started talking about his friend’s girlfriend and her cat. How he’s certain the cat is trying to break them up. It pees on his shoes and scratches him. “Do you think she should tell him, ‘it’s me or the cat!’?” There’s no way she’s going to choose your friend over her cat, mate. Not a chance “I see. You’re more of a cat person than a dog person?” And so this irrelevant conversation goes on for all of 5 minutes while we cross the park and get to the corner. He asks my name and we shake hands. (He draws this out almost painfully and people are queuing around us to cross the road so I really want to get this over with.) He explains that his name is tricky in English. “Can you guess where I’m from?” No. Ah. He’s from Budapest. That’s funny - I’m going there in a few weeks! You’ll have to recommend me what to eat when I’m there! “Can we continue this conversation? I just came from Australia and don’t have a phone. What about facebook?” I used to not like giving my name to people because I am the ONLY one. But actually, Facebook is convenient for stalking and more user-friendly if you need to block someone, so I’m warming up to it. Anyway. he added me, and I’ve done my stalking and I’m pretty shocked with the results. see, if a strange person approaches you in a park and initiates a weird conversation - normally they’re just a weirdo. but, if they can give you travel advice and also have a phd, then maybe ‘eccentric’ is more like it...?
