haven't really seen anyone mentioning this on my dash but mi'kmaw fishermen in nova scotia are being intimidated and attacked for exercising their right to fish. mi'kmaw chiefs have declared a state of emergency & the RCMP are on site. a lot of the news coverage has been pretty skewed or outright absent. there's been requests for provincial and federal government support for the fishers, who are exercising rights that are historically and legally theirs.

particularly to my Canadian followers, please make sure you stay informed from reliable sources & call your MPs to express your support. if anyone has any links to more information, fundraisers, or petitions please add them below!
