Ā Ā Ā Henry flopped back against the bed covers, putting a hand to his forehead dramatically, like all the fair maidens in all the lying fairytales. "I canāt believe I missed Halloween!" His hand turned and gripped his head gently. "Ughā¦ Being ill is the worst."Ā
Ā Ā Ā Of all the celebrations, whyād it have to come during Halloween?! It was his favorite. āIām just gonnaā have to scare people like a ninja, now.ā He mumbled.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Though the gloom on his face cleared, as he leaned up. "But happy Halloween to you, too. I hope you had a good one, at least."Ā

I'm so sorry I've been gone for... uh, ever. weeks, even. ; n ; but I am feeling much better now and I have my things in order so I'm able to come back online and hopefully not be in pain~!

Ā Ā Ā Henry leaned his elbows on the counter, and his chin down upon them. "I'm not getting you anything from Granny's if you keep being a bully. You're worse than Felix." ...Okay, no one was that bad. But...Ā
Ā Ā Ā Henry seemed to realize his mistake and close his eyes. "You think they'd ever agree to come back...?" He'd like it if they did, if only for Nibs sake. The idea did give him... nervous memories.Ā
Ā Ā Ā "You've got that 'Please don't judge me, but all the ice cream is gone,' look on your face again." Henry peered over the kitchen counter at his brother. His... adoptive brother, but brother all the same. Nibs, with the chance to grow up. Not that Henry hadn't been doing some growing of his own, too.Ā

Not very high. Ā I didnāt learn much before Neverland and nobody really knows too much like that here. Ā I can count on my hands and thatās about it.
He looked at the strange symbols and blinked as Henry described them as numbers. Ā So thatās what they looked like. Ā Slowly, he pointed at 12. Ā āThatās twelve, thatās - thirteen?ā Ā He asked, feeling rather stupid but at least he was beginning to understand. Ā āAnd fourteen and fifteen?ā
Ā Ā Ā "Yeah, you got it!" Henry grinned. He seemed proud, if anything. They were hidden away in the darkness of a fold of leaves, so at least Nibs wouldn't have to worry about anyone seeing. Henry didn't seem to mind how long it would take - he had nothing better to do here. And quite frankly he was impressed. Nibs was trying to learn something new.
Ā Ā Ā "Then, after twenty, you add the original number on at the end. So twenty-one, twenty-two... And it's like that until you get to a hundred. Apart from the -0 numbers. So they're all you have to learn." He couldn't help but imagine the look on Pan's or Felix's face.Ā

He leaned over, taking a sharpie from his pocket, and drawing the numbers on Nibs' arm, where he was able to reach from his position sat by him. "Except these," he pointed to 13 and 15. "They're a bit weird. Thir-" for 13, "and Fif-" for 15.Ā
Ā Ā Ā "And then there's twenty at the end." He grinned.
