Sirens blared everywhere just outside a hospital at the edge of the city in San Jose, California. Smoke plumed from the building as crowds of people gathered, while the hospital’s emergency response team made an effort to do their job and move patients around from the damaged hospital wing, and into safer parts for the establishment. The crowds weren’t helping, with news press and concerned families and friends of current patients attempting to get as close to the action as possible. It was utter chaos.
With police response teams pushing back citizens, one reporter stood with her microphone in hand, speaking to the camera man. “The time now is 12:27 pm Pacific time and, as you can see, we are just outside O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, California, just off of Forest Ave, where there were sightings of a strange young man firing plumes of what appears to be magma straight from his palms, thus causing fire to the Vascular Center of the hospital.” She gestured to the damaged portion of the hospital where firemen continue to spray down parts of the building, though the fire seemed largely under control now, despite the obvious damage to multiple floors of the hospital. “All this not even twenty-four hours after the catastrophic car accident that had happened on highway 17 late last night, bringing in almost twelve critically wounded patients into O’Connor’s ICU. We still don’t have details as to how many were injured in this tragic terrorist event, but I’ve been reassured there have been no reports of anyone killed. And as for the man’s motives, authorities are still collecting statements and no one has anything solid to release to the press just yet.”
Just then, someone shouted audibly behind the news reporter, fist thrown into the air, “What motives!?” followed by several other shouts from the crowd, effectively drowning out anything else.
