apologies for not being online ive been unable to do what ive wanted to do to really kick back up this timeline because my laptop decided to kick the bucket its currently out for repairs and it SHOULD be back in a week or two but that means i havent been able to make art for promos or work on any expositions for the timeline i also forgot what email i used for bro and im rather upset @ myself for that so ive neglected this karkat for now in favor of being on my karkat ampora aka scuttles but i hAVENT GIVEN UP YET ON THIS TIMELINE i have some plans to get the ball rolling and Soon so be prepared (might have to remake bro though and thats kind of a bummer)

Application for Dad Egbert/Crocker

Name: Riley Pronouns: he/him Character: Dad Egbert Kik/Skype: beep boop

Superpower:

Empathic perception, wherein Dadbert is a mid-level empath who can read people’s spirit energy, which would be able to tell him if someone is a User, and what their ability is. Additionally, he can also read basic surface emotions to judge the person’s next move. It’s mainly a passive thing he does, as he just observes these things most of the time, rather than acting on the information he gleans. Since he generally doesn’t act upon this, nor does he show any physical manifestation of using his ability, he would be difficult to trace as a User himself, living anonymously among the rest of the people of the city.

Role within timeline:

Dad Egbert is actually a Crocker who changed his last name when he left his old life behind at a younger age. He heard snatches of talk about what happens to Users, and since his is a passive ability, he decided to leave before his empath status was discovered and exploited to, in turn, exploit others. Now he lives as anonymously as he could, blending into the crowds, not particularly taking any side, but watching carefully for any shifts in the balance.

He allows his children as much independence as they want (provided that they are responsible about it, i.e., taking care of themselves, not causing people too much trouble, etc.), but is generous enough with help should either of them go to him for it. Dadbert loves his kids, but he also knows that there will eventually come a time when they will grown up and no longer need him, and while he is always ready to welcome them back with open arms, actively trying to postpone the inevitable will only hinder their growth.

Name: Wind Pronouns: they/them or he/him Character: Bro Strider Kik/Skype: [ REDACTED ] Superpower: Photon manipulation.  He can manipulate photons in a given area to generate heat, create illusions, flash bright lights, etc.  His most common uses are to annoy his little brothers make sugoi faces ironically, though, of course.  Also, with this ability he’s managed to get his youngest brother out of some tight spots. Role within timeline: He’s there for his brothers.  That’s the bottom line.  No matter what shit has happened, is happening, and will happen.  Family comes first, and he’s not going to let a hair fall from either head if he can help it. Triggers: Just photographic gore really tbh.
