Sick: A neglected spirit appears sickly yellow-green; this is set off by semi-solid shapes formerly human forms.

Sed/Thirst:  The body's sensual desires are the nude figure and juicy colors which also signify the pleasure of the subject in her waking life.

Apt: Facing forward and sitting erect, the subject shows preparation for changes already in effect. The body becomes less important.

Closed: Almost stagnant, this figure is barely changing. It is an upright fetal position, creating an "x" across the composition to indicate a protective gesture.
