nestlé argues that it has the right to water that belongs to citizens (is part of national or state park springs), because *someone* should be profiting off of it, despite the water source being deemed still in recovery from past overpumping. that’s literally their argument in at least 1 case (see florida ginnie springs nestlé if you want to check). they help destroy the spring ecosystem, take water that *legally belongs to the people,* and then sell it back to profit.
