Before coming to school I was ready to take on the world, ready to meet new people, and most of all ready to get away from Atlanta. I never thought that I would experience this horror entitled “Homesickness.” Of course I miss my friends and family, but I miss the simplicity and familiarity that I called “home.” My room is no longer my sacred space, I no longer walk in to a room and be embraced by familiar faces, the food isn’t great, faces don’t seem as friendly. I am changing and the world around me is changing. This short period of time has showed me that college is truly what you make it. I can choose to dwell or fight through it.
