Yahoo South Asian Community organizes many events and celebrates festivals together. I would love to be a part of those events.
What is your advice to aspiring youth who are considering a career in STEM?
Many of the worldâs most innovative companies started and are located in California. At their core, these companies are world leaders due to their ability to harness science, technology, engineering and math to drive innovation.
STEM skills are increasingly necessary to engage in a knowledge-based economy. The fastest-growing and highest-wage jobs in future years will be in STEM fields and all employees will need to utilize STEM skills for problem solving in a wide range of industries.
What makes Yahooâs Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) unique?
Yahooâs ERGâs are communities that target the Diverse workforce. They provide educational opportunities and support employee recruitment.
Why is diversity important to you?
Diversity in todayâs workplace refers to racial minority groups, ethnic minority groups, women, persons with disabilities, persons for whom English is a second language, and other nontraditional groups.
Itâs important because different backgrounds and perspectives lead to a variety of ideas, knowledge, and ways of doing things which is important to a companyâs profitability.
