Sorry the pledges have been getting out control lately..
I missed you too, dork. Oh ya know, bored, lonely, naturally awesome; basically the usual. Howâre things with the kiddies? And how are things with your handsome self?
i've been fine. the kids have been giving a hard time. I asked them to camp and they started bitching about wanting their phones and wanting to update their statuses.....other than that..I just been missing you.

Rita looked around in awe as they went deeper into the forest. Candles. There were candles. And rose petals. Her heart was an inch from stopping completely. Her hand tightened around Dodgerâs automatically and her eyes followed the path closely. The blush on her face was fading as she forced it down so she wouldnât pass out from overheating. She was still wondering where exactly they were going and what exactly he had planned but at that moment she couldnât think straight enough to focus on anything but putting one foot in front of the other. Rita looked up at her best friend and caught his soft smile that seemed to appear quite frequently whenever he was around her. She smiled to herself and looked back down.
Dodge kept looking forward, but every once in a while he would look to his right, just to watch the girl reaction. Here and there he could catch a glimpse of a blush, a smile, all these reactions made his heart beat faster and faster. As they kept walking the number of candles started to decrease. To then be surrounded by complete darkness. "We are here. " He said with a smile, and a minute their surroundings started to lit up once more as fireflies approached them. Dodge smile as he looked down locating the picnic blanket and basket he had set up a while back. He open the basket and reached for a two candles he lit up and set on the blanket. "Are you ready to grab a bite? I made a special trip for this." He said to then wink at her playfully.

"Okay, dozens of packs of wolves.â She laughed and followed him out into the night air. Her hand was warm in his and his was surprisingly warm as well. Rita looked down and saw the trail of white rose petals. Her face light up red, just barely, and she hoped it was dark enough for him not to see. But the second he delivered that corny line about trails and futures, the blush became too hard to conceal. And part or her was trying way too hard not to laugh at the cheesiness of the whole situation, but the other part was hoping to god and whoever else would listen that this was going exactly where she thought it was goingâŠor at least somewhere close to it. She forgot she hadnât responded so when Dodge looked at her expectantly, her red face turned even darker. Then she remembered what he asked and nodded quickly. Smooth Rita, very smooth.
Rita's hand was warm. Always had. Whenever he was cold one touch was all it took for him to feel better. Feel warm. Maybe that's how he learned to smile so warmly, by holding Rita's hand. He could catch a blush on her cheeks but decided not to tease her. Not this time around. Tonight was a serious night, as corny as he had been and was gonna be . Every step they took they found themselves trapped deep within the forest. The petals still marking their ways as candle slowly started to appear helping light up the way so they could see the petals clearly.

Rita smiled and took the rose gently. âWhat were you running from? A pack of wolves?â She laughed and went to put the rose in water. She walked back and rolled her eyes. âHey, you already saw me in a skimpy bathing suit for like two weeks straight.â With a wink, she fixed her sweater again and looked up quickly as he scooped her hand up in his. âAlright lead the way, big guy.â
" A pack of wolves? Come on Rita! You know I can handle that easily! More like dozens of packs!" He said with a cocky grin. The truth would unveil soon, so why not play around a little more? Holding her hand they stepped out of the cabin. The night was cold, the sky was beautiful, and on the sandy ground a trail of white petals could be seen. One by one guiding them to the heart of the forest. Dodge turned his head towards Rita with a gentle smile on his face. "Oh look..a trail...are you down to see what our future has on hold for us?"

Rita jumped up off the couch and laughed softly. âHiâŠthat was quite an entrance.â Her eyes fell on the rose and she smiled. Even if it looked a little worse for wear, the gesture was one of the sweetest sheâd ever received. And besides, it was still a beautiful rose. âIs this okay? I tried to look like less of a slob than I usually do but still achieve comfort.â She grinned and walked up to him, reaching up to fix his hair which had become a bit messy thanks to his dramatic entrance. âYou should really learn to knock though. I meanâŠI could have been naked or something.â She finished fixing his hair and took a half step back. âSo, oh fearless leader, where we goinâ?â
Rita's laugh was lovely. He looked down in a shy matter . "You look fine really." He said as he handed her the torn up rose. "Sorry about the condition...it actually started as a bouquet, you know? but..kinda lost 'em along the way, sorry about that." He smiled, chucking a bit after hearing she could've been naked. " Well...wouldn't that be a win for me?" Dodge asked in a teasing tone. "Anywho...." He reached for her free hand with a gentle smile on her face."We should get going! We don't wanna be late!"
