god “they told me all of my cages were mental, so i got wasted like all my potential/and my words shoot to kill when i’m mad, i have a lot of regrets about that/i was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere/fell behind all my classmates and i ended up here, pouring out my heart to a stranger/but i didn’t pour the whiskey” is such a fucking VERSE like it’s just one line after the next
“I loved you long before I had the guts to let you know.”
— William Chapman
you are not less talented than you used to be. you are not less intelligent than you used to be. you are not less attractive, or less funny, or less creative. no offense, but the reason you think you're no longer good enough has nothing to do with losing your abilities, and everything to do with a lack of self confidence and emotional impermanence that tricks you into believing you're impostor of yourself. you dont need to keep proving that you're still worthy of your past accomplishments.
Stop measuring days by degree of productivity and start experiencing them by degree of presence.

May your heart remain breakable. But never by the same hand twice.

It’s not ‘natural’ to speak well, eloquently, in an interesting articulate way. People living in groups, families, communes say little–have few verbal means. Eloquence–thinking in words–is a byproduct of solitude, deracination, a heightened painful individuality.
