I stare at it, in momentous wonderement

strangers pass, strangers die

Your wondrous joy, upon a hardly beating,

seemingly lifeless piece,

is enough reason to cherish.

Nothing is to blame, let alone your sentimentality,

people come and people go,

but from me to you,

a whisper, a promise,

to forever try to cherish,

and never let it crush.
