There was a pile of lined paper on the bench next to her and she was scribbling away, a lot more focused on that than on whatever Ted was saying. "What are you doing?" "I'm writing to each of the people that came to the try out to give them personal feedback and a thank you for supporting us," Lucy muttered, moving another piece of paper onto the smaller pile on her left. "Really? That's …" Ted reached over and grabbed one of them off the pile. "Common decency. A lot of these people took time off work and prepared taking all day to trail down here and impress us. The least we can do is give them a ticket to the home opener and a bit of care."

Personally believing that Jamie got Dani to teach him Spanish before Jamie transferred to a Spanish team. When he arrives, Jamie speaks Mexican Spanish with a mancunian accent, and absolutely no one can understand him.

I'm working on my version of Season 4 for my big bang fic and this is going to be a beast and complicated and all that so I have a question.

Would people like it if the end notes contained things like the football references being made, the inspirations from real life and the origins of some of the jokes? Or would you prefer them to just be things that some people will get as little Easter eggs?

Should I explain the football in my Season 4 AU chapter end notes?

Alas, most of it is obscured, and I can't get it properly sharp either, but from what I can see (from the left column) and somewhat reasonably guess, it seems Trent is noting that Jamie was initially someone who only cares for himself, and who only achieved... greatness? success? after "a willing something something sub (?)mission to the unfamil-"iar(ity?)... of caring for others? Maybe?

Then Trent (probably) goes on to say that it's hard to know which moment Jamie will be most remebered for, when there are so many choose from. "The free kick against Tottenham at the Dog track?* The brace at the Etihad that secured Richmond's first ever Champions League qualification? His [hat trick? against?] Bayern which brought [everyone? the entire stadium?] to their feet." And then there's something of his that has an impact on the FA Cup and IT BETTER BE THAT HE LED THEM TO WIN THE WHOL EFFING THING AND THE PREMIER LEAGUE TOO.

Ungh. I need someone to do a better job than I decoding this, AND I need a proper printout of the whole thing. Please and thank you.

I'm gonna be posting S4 opinions on here after watching the episodes so will spoiler tag with #Ted lasso S4 spoilers if want to block that and will put under the cut

First things first - I genuinely did not anticipate the feeling of like butterflies when Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins arrived. I have been trying not to get too excited because I didnt want to be let down but that clearly hasn't worked.

General opinions - it was nice. It was really nice to see these characters again and the feel of the show was nice. However it felt a bit like a filler episode? Like I get having the first episode be in the US and Ted deciding to make the leap but I just wasnt particularly interested in the shopping segment and the museum segment.

Pros - I loved Ted meeting one of his old college players. That scene was so fun and such an insight. I also (suprising myself) am on board with the whole family moving to London thing and I think thats because it was done in a way that Ted wasnt really the one making that decision. It was clear to everyone but Ted that Michelle and Henry wanted to go but the show still allowed Ted to have his moment of making the call and I like that. Roy holding a trophy, nuff said.

Cons - Jamie Tartt has moved on and the news article didnt tell me where! Where is my boy??? Also the usual Ted Lasso football consistency problems that I will not bore everyone with but are going to piss me off if they dont explain it in later episodes.

Overall - I liked it but I want football now pls

Yes! Absolutely, thank you for the ask and the reason to dust this off. I have a plan now. It's probably going to be about 15 chapters. I have Chapter 3 fully planned and up to chapter 11 vaguely planned.

Here's some of the opening of Chapter 3

River didn’t know how they traveled. All he knew was that he was in a wheelchair and no matter what he tried to do, there was no getting out of it. His hands and feet were free but they might as well have been encased in concrete with how little he could move them. When he had come to from the drugs the first time it had been to find a canula in his arm, an oxygen mask over his face and a persistent fog in his brain. His tongue sat heavy in his mouth and eyes blinked slowly, losing time every time they closed. They were in the car, and then they were at the airport, and then they were in Starbucks at the airport. River caught snapshots of the conversation; his name was apparently David King, he was travelling with his family to the South of France for a much needed holiday between treatments. River had absolutely no clue what he was being treated for but it was a very clever way of kidnapping someone … unfortunately.
