A lot of people were speculating they’d be getting married this season/next season bc of this shot with Higgins in the trailer—it totally LOOKS like a wedding altar (them standing face-to-face looking at each other with Higgins between them holding a book gives bride/groom/officiant, plus Keeley’s hair is all done up in a bride-esque updo even though she’s just at work) and we all know how much TL loves a callback shot

As for the slander. I PERSONALLY did not think Roy and Keeley really seemed all that compatible in the long-term as of where we left them in season 3. I thought all of the really charming RK moments that made me ship them in the first place were in season 1, before they got together/when the relationship was new. Once they got serious in season 2, they basically spent their entire relationship fighting, and it just became more and more unpleasant to watch as time went on imo 🤷‍♀️

THEN, towards the end of season 3, there’s this whole thing going on where Roy is relentlessly bothering Keeley about getting back together even after she’s clearly told him she’s not interested multiple times, goes over to her house and fucks her while she’s drunk and at rock bottom (which she seems to regret later on), and then says to Jamie that he has some kind of claim over her and that her rejecting him multiple times means nothing because “she’s a woman so you never know.” Like. Okay lol. Super healthy. You can really tell that men and specifically Jason Sudekis are in control of this show sometimes

And my prediction is none of this will be addressed because the general audience opinion is that Roy and Keeley are perfect together and the breakup came out of absolutely nowhere. So I’m just not thrilled about the prospect of them getting married This Season overall
