He let out a small sigh and shook his head, he had done everything up until now solo which is how he wanted to keep it, he didn’t want to endanger other peoples lives while he leveled up and got to a high enough point to where he could take on the final boss.

“I can’t ask you to help me, and you don’t really need to worry about it. I’ll protect them myself and get them out of that world.”

"You're wrong." She said, a more serious look on her face now. "You're not asking me to help you; I'm offering to do so."

"And, I'll be honest with you: I would like to play this game you speak of. Even with the threat of my life ending." Just like she had to reach lvl 10 on Accel World, she would be ready to reach the final lvl and win the game called SAO. That was how Hime's personality was. And she would never give up on her goal.

“Oh uh..” Her voice trailed off as she heard the second sentence. Kido wasn’t sure how to answer it, could she possibly say her ability? Well she doubted that the other female would believe her. “I’m not much an interesting person..” She muttered before averting her gaze.

“Japan? I’ve been here a few times because of my journey and I met some friends here. So this world is called Earth? Though what’s a Junior High School? Is it called that because the building isn’t tall?” He knew what a school was but he’s never been to one.

She almost chuckled at his questions. It almost seemed like he didn't belong here, didn't it? "This building is a school, and it's called Junior High because of the grades that are currently lectured here. We have different ones, according to one's age." She explained. "Japan is the name of this country, and Earth is this world's name, yes."

“… D-Do you wanna… Maybe play a game with me?” He wanted to play, but normally he wouldn’t get the courage to ask.

Hime looked back at the boy. "Of course!" She smiled kindly.

“I won’t let myself die, I’m going to get out of that place and bring everyone else with me, I can’t stand seeing others die but I know it can’t be helped and I’ll never let someone die while they are with me again.” He was always thinking of his old partners the black cats and how tragic it was when they died, one of them wasn’t with him while he was with the others but once he found out his friends had died he committed suicide.

“I’ll become strong enough to defeat everything that’s in my way and protect the few friends I have left.” He still had one person who was always worried about him and that was Klein, the one person who he had met on the first day and hoped from the bottom of his heart that he wouldn’t die.

Kuroyukihime knew quite well how to recognize strenght. And this boy right here, he was very strong. He could become a Burst Linker, most definitly. Putting that aside though, he needed to get out of that game in order to save his life. And there was certainly a way to save the other people there as well, right? She knew there was one, there had to be one. It just had to.

"Kirito-kun. I'm not exactly sure of what I can do, but--" She moved closer, extending her hand to him. "-- I want to help you."

“Kuroyukihime…” Her face and her name reminded him of a friend long gone now. He nods his head. “You have a beautiful name. Kuroyukihime do you know where I am?”

"Thank you." She smiled again. "You are currently in Umesato Junior High School's lounge; also, you're in Japan and this is Earth. I hope that's clear enough for you."

“I… I live at an Orphanage.” He said softly, his eyes darting to the ground. He felt sad and self conscious about not having parents anymore.

"I-I see..." She let out a small sigh. Not having a family... Was surely painful for the boy, specially him being so young.

“It doesn’t work like that, the creator of the game didn’t add a log out button and it wasn’t a glitch, if we die in the game we die in real life. I can’t take off the link because it will fry my brain if I do.” The only way he could be freed from this crazy ass world was to fight and become the best, killing the final boss was the only way he would be free from this nightmare.

“I’ve seen a lot of people die already, and I just can’t stand it. I need to stay around so I can protect them all.” It made him think back to his old clan, he couldn’t save any of them and no matter what he tried then they all died and it was his fault. He even made a promise that they would live and make it out, what a bullshit lie that was.

"..." She was at a loss of words. A game where people would die in real life, if they die in the game itself? That sounded so... Cruel yet interesting. She would like to experience it, as she was far too curious about this whole matter. But, of course, she would not voice out this 'wish' to the boy, who seemed so sad with the whole situation. "Watching comrades die is a painful thing, and I cannot even imagine what it was like to you. What it was like to everyone else. And to the ones who died." Yes, she had lost people in the Accel World but, they simply disappeared from that network. They were still alive, somewhere, and they would come back someday, possibly. The thought of loosing people for real, that was terrifying. Specially if it concerned someone like Haruyuki.

"I don't want to say I feel sorry for you, though." She shook her head, glancing back at him. "Rather, I congratulate you on surviving so far. That must mean you're strong, Kirito-kun."

"An orphan, you say?" Hime looked surprised, she wasn't expecting to hear that sentence at all. "Who do you live with, then?"

She was really pretty, he didn’t know what to think at first but he remembered he has to be polite. He bows his head at her. “Hello, my name is Key. Nice to meet you.”
