Modri’s Demon (?) Part 2
Going from where I left off let’s get right into it:
Before knock off Van Helsing showed up, Modri got desperate, he started a contract with the devil who ruined his life:
But then knock off Van Helsing showed up and ruined their lil moment and the contract was never completed, leaving the demon to say this
This was probably implying the demon was going to come back someday to collect the soul and contract they nearly made a deal on. It was still considered “in the works”
Later as a way to be consoled, Modri was told
A devil yes, but a devil and a demon can be categorized as two different entities, leading to the next point:
“But didn’t Modri die? How does he have a soul for a demon to eat?” You might ask. Well it might not be a demon but a devil:
Well welcome in our resident immortal grandpa
With the power to revive bodies, collect souls and alter them, he can do anything!
He could very well have erased Modri’s almost contract, he could’ve kept the resentment all the same and added more hatred to the guy making him hate demons even more. He could’ve even made Modri think he is God since he brought him back to life
AND with Modri’s soul obviously altered by Undertaker here, clearly his memory of the demon was altered to make him believe”Sebastian” was the one who fucked him over- WHICH is also WHY everyone is so dead set on the demon YANA SHOWED US to be Sebastian when the real demon COULD BE ENTIRELY DIFFERENT!!!
Again in this case could be Rodney. Undertaker alters the memories/soul, Modri forgets the OG demon cuz they were replaced with Sebastian, Rodney is now back ready to get his “desert” but is probably instructed by Undertaker to not do anything rash to unwind what he worked on and is allowing Rodney to hunt and eventually harvest his very long awaited cake since in the end, Modri could be useless, just a mere tool to distract Sebastian and Ciel (maybe to move him and R!Ciel to a nee location??)

Modri’s Demon (?) Part 1
Here I go on another late night theory run.
In a prev post I said that I think Rodney is the Demon who Modri dealt with long ago
First off, Is Rodney a Demon? Answer: Idk but he seems fishy.
Of course we don’t know who he is besides being a bell boy but just take a look at him. He looks oddly similar to Sebastian (and by extension Claude) Yana does have a tendency to draw some characters similar or a trait similar to a race: Shinigami with the eyes, (Maybe Angels with the white hair) and possibly Demons with the jet black hair and cunning attitudes.
In the newest chapter (228) we see that Rodney was going through the items of that one 20s gangster looking guy (i forgot his name). Saying that he “clocked him” the moment the guy walked in while Rodney was at the front desk- keen eyesight and intuition along with identifying really anything from a distance is a demonic trait. You see Sebastian show this several times throughout the series.
Next is the bathtub.
Clearly this had to have been Rodney devouring the guy and his soul. We haven’t seen yet how demons in Yana’s story devour human souls, only heard that they suck the life out of whoever they contracted with and leave a shell of a human- at least according to the knock off Van Helsing guy:
Maybe Rodney was more feral about it. Plus having the cleaning lady by his side he had a cover up.
PLUS the foreshadowing of a bathtub death was brought up by Rodney at the beginning of the arc
Anyway, there still isn’t enough proof that Rodney is a demon but if he is, then he’s doing good-ish blending in as a human. The only thing I see how he couldn’t be a demon is that Sebastian didn’t suspect him or identify that he’s a demon, y’know demon to demon communication.
But how does this make Rodney Modri’s possible demon?
First off how Rodney treats Modri.
When Modri attacks himself in the lobby, Rodney is summoned yet he is treating Modri with ease and care, similar to how Sebastian treats Ciel if the kid falls or trips.
Secondly, how Rodney treats Modri after
He patches him up, again with gentleness and care. Sebastian’s done the same thing with Ciel.
The demons like to nurture and take care of their contracted meals before they devour their souls so it tastes better. The Demon in Modri’s past did the same with the girl- treated her kindly, grated her wishes, then when the time was ripe and her soul deemed well enough it was devoured, though her body seemed lifeless in the end.
Now I can’t add any more pics on mobile so I’m going to stop here. Please keep an eye for a 2nd half to let me finish explaining :3
