I'm honestly the same way. He's an ass and I hate him for that, but he's by far my favorite that I've ever constructed a full character, personality, and motivation for.
Random but I need to know what would happen if our Heartsick's met up because it's basically one deranged lesbian meeting another deranged lesbian. Like would it be mass chaos? Worse than mass chaos? Somehow decent? The curiosity consumes me
I feel like that can depend, but I'd say somewhat decent. My Heartsick kinda has a rather quirky mad scientist personality and I think that could be alluring to most.
Lacking a proper face, held together through an almost botched job of paper mache, seeming more robotic parts then an actual identifying mascot is Nightmare Mangle. Unlike Nightmare Foxy's quick to pounce violent intent, Nightmare Mangle is more keen on hiding in the shadows and waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. The few soft parts of their appearance are still stifled by the wrapping that attempts to hold them together, all the while they make these garbled static radio sounds with seemingly incomprehensible words.Â
Much like Nightmare Foxy I didnât fully know how to design Nightmare Mangle at first, not sure how to reference a toy or childhood item of any kind since Mangle technically already does. Originally I thought of Mr and Mrs Potato head like vibe but I quickly found the idea super goofy, but I did end up deciding on the endo head to be those wind up teeth since itâs a perfect fit. So I decided to take a different approach thinking about how the idea could reflect who Nightmare Mangle is âinspired" by which is Elizabeth, with that thought in mind I finally landed on paper mache. Arts and Crafts and stuff like that felt fitting for not only my AUs Elizabeth but also this incomplete forgotten memory feeling I wanted it to give as well.
Nightmare Mangle is the foil to Nightmare Foxy, well at least in appearance as well as who inspired the visage of them, with Nightmare Foxy being blatantly inspired by Michael while Nightmare Mangle is more loosely inspired by Elizabeth. Nightmare Mangle has this vagueness to their appearance, most of their body hidden and incomplete, leaving them looking more like an attempt at visualizing something from memory alone. Unlike Nightmare Foxy, Nightmare Mangle is a lot more reserved, often hiding in the shadows to try and discreetly sneak about and get the jump when the time is right⊠but they are hard to miss due to the fact theyâre constantly blaring radio. While Nightmare Mangle will often be found in Michaels closet like regular Nightmare Foxy, they will also be found climbing and hiding in higher places but will once again be hard to miss due to their loud radio noises.
Much like the Jack-Os they donât really have a plush connection, with the root of origin being Joseph, which did take Mangles appearance from FNAF 2 marketing and such Michael had in his possession. Joseph was really inspired at that moment.Â
Much like Nightmare Foxy, when Nightmare Mangle has found their place of hiding they build up to their attack in stages much like Nightmare Foxy does, and once ignored long enough will attack⊠after sneaking out and hiding above on the ceiling much like how Mangle does in FNAF 2. The garbled sound is always lingering above and will pounce at a random point, sometimes right after they escape, other times after theyâve been forgotten about.
Nightmare Mangle, UCN
"Purchase his plush toy from the Prize Counter when he appears in the right hall to avoid his attack! He can't be stopped by the office door."
Nightmare Mangle is the only (Halloween update) character to make the main roster largely due to the fact Nightmare Mangle is loosely inspired off of Elizabeth, though this hell is made to torment him so itâs fitting. Nightmare Mangle doesnât change much from how they were before other than the person they now target being William instead of Michael. Still unable to really speak and only capable of making indistinguishable sounds, so often they just choose to not attempt speaking at all. They kinda radiate dog energy when interacting with any of the spirits trapped in UCN. Nightmare Mangles' reason as to why they want their marketable plushie is more off the whole âmechanicâ itself then because of connection or comfort, plus Nightmare Mangle is a threat always willing to wait till the right moment to attack.

Much like the other Nightmares, Nightmare Mangles form was drastically changed by Nightmarionneâs influence and it is clear in the way they look, all of the paper mache holding and hiding their appearance is now gone and replaced with Nightmarionneâs coils. Holding their body together like rope and holding them up like puppet strings, now with a newly gifted face and proper teeth. Nightmare Mangle still only makes incomprehensible sounds and radio noises but on occasion words may come through, jumbling voices together to make something akin to sentences.Â
