two weeks after my first ever concert experience and i'm still over the moon
pretty sure i've told tumblr before that i'm a big fan of ed sheeran. if not, then i'm telling you that now. i've been listening to his music since high school (i kinda don't wanna go into details because how i discovered his music isn't something i'd like to look back to, lol) and even up until now his music still plays a big part in my life. when asked about my favorite singer/performer/whatever i always would answer "ed sheeran." idk, i guess i just love him that much.
april 8, 2018 was the rescheduled date of divide tour manila, and it's a day i will never ever forget. i'd even go so far as to say that that day was probably the best day of my life so far.
the night before the concert i was panicking, mainly because i was going to the concert alone and i wasn't sure if i would survive (spoiler alert: i both did and did not). my parents went with me to the venue, though. it wasn't smoothly planned but they even waited for me until the concert ended so i didn't have to go home alone.
because i didn't have a concert buddy, i decided to come to a pre-concert meetup planned by one of the members of the patron c ticketholders groupchat (yeah, there's one). i was so fucking nervous. i'm a naturally shy person and when i'm in front of people, especially new ones, i become ten times as awkward as i usually am. anyway, i'm not sure what their impression of me was, but from time to time i still talk with some of them even up until now so i guess we're good. here are some of the group photos we took pre-concert:
i was one of the youngest in the group, which isn't surprising because ed has a really diverse fanbase. nevertheless, the two guys younger than me are both in senior high school so despite the close age gap i still kind of feel like an older sister.
they're from different provinces in the philippines. two of them are actually from the mindanao area and they went to manila solely for the concert. spell dedication! the others are a bit nearer- qc, cavite, batangas (still far lol), i forgot the other ones.
this is me, still pre-concert:
i also took pictures after the event but i looked like a huge mess so i wouldn't post them lmao. i took a lot of videos but they were all shaky and you could clearly hear me crying and screaming and singing out of tune. it's embarassing to share so i'll just keep them to myself. i'll treasure them forever so i could always be reminded of how happy i was that day.
i guess the pcd doesn't really end. it subsides, yes, but it's still here. i love you and your music so much, ed. :-(
aside from the pcd, the sepanx i feel is also so fucking real. i know i've known these people for such a short period of time but i feel so attached to them already. idk if it's just me but i really really want to continue talking to them (on a daily basis if possible lmao). :-( maybe it's because they're part of one of my happiest moments in life. i couldn't just easily forget them.
honestly i feel like i've already fulfilled my purpose in life after watching ed sheeran perform live. it's been in my bucketlist for so long and now i can tick it off! i wish i could relive the moment, it was so precious. ♡
