ivory being clad in stealth waiting armor / quiet, grasp on glass window gentle & feather light as he works it open with finesse. he slides in almost as easily, boots squeaking & wince is awarded at the sound as soft breaths are taken from lungs dusted scarlet ( for he was life stealing / stygian rose falling ) taking weapon out from holster pinned to thigh, careful to keep watch around.
it was going easy, a job that wouldn’t take him no longer than two strikes of the clock until door creaks & he steels iron bone to stand straight, gun pointed at the door in wait for the target. ❛ i really hope you have insurance for this, because your locks su ─ oh ! you’re not, ❜ pause taken as he lowers his weapon & jaded amber eyes have the decency to look sheepish. ❛ you’re not who i was looking for. ❜
it was an exhausting night at the bar, too many men thinking they were entitled to too much, and not enough money being slipped into his pants. he was already in a bad mood, and kacey’s fuse was getting shorter and shorter with every step he took towards his apartment. wind almost made his money from work, and someone had stolen his favorite shorts out of his locker, and no one had confessed to the crime
opening the door to his apartment, kacey froze at the sight of a gun pointed at him, and a man he had never seen before standing behind it. this had happened before, customers getting prissy because he called security on them, or he forced them to pay for something that they had requested, etc. it was nothing new, so when the surprised words slipped past the mans lips, kacey was the one to pause.
“ oh wow, it’s been a while to hear that someone had the wrong apartment while looking to kill someone. especially me. “

“I would if I could, but it’s far to dangerous to be out here alone. This forest is a nature preserve so hunting is forbidden and as such—the wild animals are very dangerous to be around. You could get hurt. If you need a place to stay you can follow me further in to the cabins.” He wouldn’t mind putting the other up for the night in the Alpha House.
kacey frowns as he’s told it was too dangerous to be out alone, and reaches his hand into his pocket to produce a knife. “ you say that like i can’t protect myself. “ kacey knows that probably he can’t, especially against wild animals, but no one, no one, underestimates him. his expression changes quickly when offered a place to sleep, eyes widening with surprise. “o-oh no no no, that’s okay! i’ll be fine out here, i can promise you that! “
“Well, did you fail to see the sign that reads; ‘no trespassing’?”
“ there was a no trespassing sign? “ kacey asked, tilting his head to the side as he thought about it. there was one on the path a bit while back, but he chose to ignore it for the sake of trying to fine some place safe to camp out. “ please let me just stay the night. i don’t have any other place to go, and i’m too exhausted to pack up and pitch it somewhere else. “
“Do not cause harm to the forest!”
kacey stared at the man with a blank look on his face, his hands freezing around the rope that he was tying to a tree branch. “ i’m not trying to cause harm, idiot. i’m just setting up my tent. “

kacey made a face at the customer who’s lap he was sitting in, his hips freezing as he felt the hands settle around his waist. “ hey, “ he said sharply, reaching down to pull them off. “ policy is, no touching. “ kacey stared the man in the eyes, waiting for him to object to the rule he just enforced. if he didn’t listen, the stripper would throw him out, no questions asked. it would suck to not get fully paid for the dance, but he was not in the mood to deal with handsy customers.
it was dark out as kacey walked home, arm stuck out just slightly as he twirled his key ring around his finger. in the shadow of the night, he saw another figure walking the other way, and he had to freeze for just a moment. the area he was in was shady, kacey himself hated walking in it past two a.m, but this person, kid even, seemed to be smaller than he was. the brunette sped up his pace, wanting to catch up to the person before they turned anywhere. “ hey! what are you doing out here so late? “
