Is Gautama Buddha an incarnation of Lord Vishnu?
Born as Siddhartha, Gautama Buddha was a great ascetic who founded Buddhism and preached the path of peace all around the world. He was raised by Gautama and hence the name Gautama Buddha. Born in the royal family hailing from Lumbini of Kapilavastu city; he spent a luxurious life as a child. He has a son named Rahula from his marriage. After enjoying the princely pleasures for 29 years, he left his palace to meet his subjects. On his way he encountered a diseased old man, a decaying corpse, and an ascetic. Realizing that no one can overcome ageing, sickness and death, he decided to lead an ascetic life. He observed penance under the Bodhi tree, attained enlightenment and came to be known as Buddha (the enlightened one). He travelled around the world and preached Astangamarga (eightfold path) to lead a peaceful life. His teachings of world peace are followed even today.
It is said that Buddha is one of the 21 incarnations of Lord Vishnu described in Bhagavatam. Some people regard Buddha as one among dashavataras (10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu). But Buddha and Gautama Buddha are not the same. People are convinced that both are one and the same as both of them worked towards establishing peace and righteousness. Â
How can we interpret Lord Narasimhaâs avatarâŠ
Narasimha avatar is one of the dasavataras (10 incarnations) of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu. One of the gate keepers of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu was reborn as evil king Hiranyakashyapa due to a curse. The lord incarnated as Narasimha to break this curse and provide him with salvation. Hiranyakashyapaâs son Prahlada was a great devotee of Lord Srihari. Â When prahlada was questioned by his demonic father Hiranyakashyapa as to where the god Srihari he worshiped was, he replied that he was, is and will be everywhere. To keep the faith and trust of his devotee, Lord Narasimha emerges from a pillar. He emerged in the form of part lion and part man and proved he is omnipresent. Hiranyakashyapa had a boon from Lord Bramha that he cannot be killed during day or night, by a living or nonliving thing, by a god, human or animal, neither inside or outside his palace, neither on ground or in sky. Respecting the boon given by Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu killed him with this Narasimha avatar which is neither man nor lion, during evening which is neither day nor night, with his nails which canât be called living or nonliving, at his gate which is neither inside nor outside and on his thighs which is neither on earth nor in sky and kept the word of his devotee Prahlada. This is the reason why devotees believe that Lord Narasimha will protect them on being remembered at the time of difficulty. Â He is renowned to provide the devotees with healthy life.

Does lord Shani cause difficulties or helps overcome them????
According to mythology, Shaneshwar is the seventh of navagrahas (nine celestial gods) and is son of lord Surya (sun) and his wife chayya (shadow). Many people believe that lord shani causes difficulties and is reason behind misfortunes. This is because he is the husband of jyestadevi also known as daridralakshmi (goddess of misfortunes). This is just a calumny. According to astrology, lord Shani and ayush (life) are always against each other. Lord Shaniâs mother performed penance of lord Shiva when she was pregnant with him. Shani charitra suggests that he was born dark, lame and catastrophic due to his motherâs fasting. It is said that Shani then performed penance of lord Shiva and got boons. Lord Shiva appeared infront of Shani on triyodasi, so he is very fond of that day. So those who worship Shani on Shani Trayodasi will be relieved from Misfortunes. Shani provides Protection from three types of hardships and provides desired fortunes.Shani dosham can be overcome by devotion to lord Shiva, lord Hanuman, lord Ayyappa, lord Venkateshwara, etc. Â People who abuse Shani cannot get away from hardships. Â People doing their duties with discipline are blessed with good fortunes by lord shani.
What rules are to be followed on Shani triyodasi???
We should follow some rules on Shani triyodasi, a day lord Shani is very fond of. It is believed that worshipping Shani on that day and performing abhishekam minimizes the impact of shani dosha. Firstly on must take head bath before sunrise. People who are fit and can observe fast on that day must do so. Devotees must refrain from all bad practices including drinking and having non-veg. One must chant the following sloka the whole day.
Neelanjana samabhasam raviputram yamagrajam|
Chaya martanda sambhutam tam namami sanieshwaram ||
One can even chant shiva panchaakshari (namah sivaya). We can please lord Shani by feeding poor and disabled. Primarily, watching abhishekam of Shaneshwara will result in good fortune. Worshipping with a pure heart, hard work and helping others are the three factors that please lord Shani. Lord Shani doesnât cause any difficulties to such people. Lord Shani helps people who performing acts like feeding crows with til laddus, to overcome all kinds of difficulties.

Do you know the symbolic meaning of lord ganeshas appearance??
From the earlier times, there have been various debates, discussions and opinions regarding appearance of lord Ganesh. His trunk is said to symbolize âOMâ which is the pranavanada. While his elephant head represents Knowledge and wisdom, his human body symbolizes illusion and nature.
Axe in the hand of lord Ganesh signifies the removal of ignorance, rope (pasham) in his hand is said to confine or restrain the hurdles in our lives. While the broken tusk represents sacrifice, mala (garland) represents wisdom and righteousness. Lord Ganeshas huge ears symbolize his great attention towards prayers of devotees and the snake wrapped around his body signifies âkundalini Shaktiâ in humans.
Apart from appearance of lord Ganesh, his ride (mouse) too is of great significance according Hindu mythology. It shows equality among all living beings and a tiny mouse carrying mighty lord Ganesh shows that lord Ganesh bestows to his devotees the power of carrying any burden and lead a comfortable life.
Has our culture ever embraced the eminence of lord  Ganesh???
Lord Ganesh has a unique structure. We can see the usage of word âGaneshaâ in the scripts as old as Rigveda. Ganesha is used as a synonym for Bruhaspati. Bruhaspati who is the teacher of Gods is known for his great intellect and wisdom. Some people assert that bruhaspati evolved to be ganesha. According to grihya sutras, Ganesha is described as occult god i.e. god of demons(kshudradevata) . His structure is the main reason behind this. Ancient scripts like Manusmriti and yajnavalkasmriti didnât recognize the greatness of lord ganesh.
However, lord ganesh is as wise as bruhaspati. Lord ganesh will always be worshipped as the one who removes hurdles and provides good fortune. According to Brahma vaivarta puranam  âgaâ in ganapati stands for intellect, while ânaâ stands for nirvana and pati means master.so ganesha is considered as provider of intellect and nirvana. Thus vedas explain ganesha the son of shiva to be foremost among gods.
Is Ganesha married??? Who are Siddhi and Buddhi???
There are various speculations relating to marriage of lord Ganesha. According to some puranas, lord Ganesha is married to siddhi and buddhi and has two sons namely kshema and labha.
The way in which lord Ganesha circumambulates around his mother parvati instead of the earth in a competition against his brother kumaraswami is admirable. Pleased with the wit and sensitivity of lord ganesha, goddess parvati arranged his marriage with Siddhi and buddhi. Intelligence and accomplishments are like wives for a bachelor. It can be clearly seen from Lord ganeshaâs behavior that he is master of those two. It is said that ganesha has two sons kshema and labha from his marriages.
Lord Ganeshaâs marriage to siddhi and buddhi and having sons kshema and labha shows us that, one attains safety through accomplishment and achieves profit due to intelligence. Lord ganesha is worshiped with the phrase âbramhacharine namahâ ( I bow down to the bachelor) as his wedding ceremony was never carried out.
