Coliseum/Fairgrounds Solution

For those having issues accessing the Fairgrounds/Coliseum: EasyList blocklist updated to a more aggressive blocklist, which is a list used by most major ad blocking extensions (uBlock, AdBlock, etc) Latro posted an easy fix that DOES NOT require you to disable your blocker and is simpler than other solutions have been so far. While he only mentions uBlock, the filter works for every blocker, you just have to find the location for custom filters yourself. Latro wrote on 2017-07-07:

This has nothing to do with FR and is simply a side effect of a change to the EasyList blocklist which is used both by Adblock Plus and uBlock https://github.com/easylist/easylist/commit/ae085656c9ce1c3b68bea4519dd0585bac15f0dc Here is a custom filters for a fix, for uBlock it’s called MyFilters in the settings and just add this as a new line:

Unblocking the Coliseum with Adblock

So Flight Rising changed something so that if you’re using an ad blocker you can’t load the Coliseum or Fairgrounds.  This is bullshit.  I’ve seen a fix for a different adblocker floating around but not one for Adblock.  So here you go.

Click this button on your browser:

This will give you a menu.  Click “Filter Preferences.”

You should have an “Exceptions Rules” group.  This group is for filters of things you don’t want Adblock to block, like the Coliseum.  Add these filters to it.

These filters will unblock the Coliseum and Fairgrounds games.  For some reasons Artifracture was not blocked for me, but the filter to unblock it would most likely look like the ones above.

We have not made any changes in order to force players to turn off their adblocking extensions. While we always appreciate it when players allow ads to display (as it helps us keep the lights on!), we do not engage in such behavior. It appears there have been several updates to ad blocking software which has resulted in false positives. Unfortunately, our games appear to be caught up in that. We’ll see what we can do on our end but in the meantime, it does look like the workaround is adding the games into your whitelist/exceptions.
