This cabinet shit is hilarious honestly. He really thinks we’ll listen? Do anything? And like, what’s he gonna do to enforce that? Slap me with his fins? Bastard can’t do shit to me. I’d like to see him try.

A letter is sitting on the small table next to the window, the handwriting looks normal but there's scribbled out text every few words and the symbols look a bit off but it's still legible, it reads:

She gently picks the letter up, curious to find it there after a day out. It was odd to see the symbols again in writing, peculiar. Her eyes flicked across the words, becoming fond now that she knew it was from Clara.

Once she was done, she gently tucked the letter away. She’d visit her soon, of course. To take that compass and find her, hopefully in safe condition.

She was rather impressed that Clara took the time to translate it. She also found it kinda cute. Sure it was for security, but it was pretty nice.

The cabinet is weird-

If His Majesty is picking people to help him,, shouldn't they be people he- trusts? Almost everyone on it is strongly opposed to him.

Me, someone he never even glances at without contempt for some reason.

And Tri who- okay admittedly I'm not sure how she fits in yet.

But point being he isn't picking people to be helpful, he's making a point of lording his power over us-

oh!! steve n alex were all sorts of fun!! steve was more... tired, but I don't really blame him. taught me how to swordfight properly

alex on the otherhand is significantly more hyper. hell, our first interaction was me seeing her going off about village trades n whatnot

steve and hero look alike. im 99% sure they're twins.

She kinda just. Nods. Absolutely perplexed. He doesn’t. He doesn’t know. How?? Even she knew about Alex and Steve and that was SAYING something.

”Huh! That’s neat… Also uh, unrelated but have you read any story books before? Maybe a book of folk stories or legends…. Just… wondering.”

She listens closely, absolutely interested in whatever he was saying. Even if she didn't understand it whatsoever.

She didn't register the last part for a bit. But she narrowed her eyes as it clicked. Herobrine. Steve and Alex. The?? Steve and Alex?? The storybook legends?? THEM???

".... What were Steve and Alex like...?"

She springs up at the call on her communicator, doing a little happy dance. She's back home now, no longer at the forum. Much less stressed.

"How was it? What did you find? Was it fun? Tell me!!!"

[You hear a faint voice. It’s muffled, almost like it’s from a tape recorder.]

“I can’t keep living like this- I can’t-”

[The voice stops and lets out a heavy sigh. Footsteps fall against quartz floors, she’s pacing.]

“I can’t tell them, though. There’s enough going on and... And I need to handle things on... on my own.”

[The voice stops again for a few minutes. There’s the occasional sigh, she’s doing that a lot. Like the voice is trying to sigh her problems away.]

“.... Yeah. I gotta do this on my own. I- It’s my problem. The... the stuff. Yeah. It’s just me. It’s just me. It’s just me..”
