i think it’s hard for me to compare folklore to any of her previous albums, because to me this album stands like on its own in the sense of like. this is the album you listen to when it’s dark and youre trying to find comfort in something, when youre trying to like catch your breath after a panic attack, when youre like walking alone in nature. like her past albums have all been very unique but also similar whereas folklore is its own piece of work entirely.

It is important for EVERYONE to know how to help ANYONE. Not everyone can give them selves their medicine under every circumstance. Be educated, help out.

In the last year, i have gotten about five new violent allergies from foods i used to be able to eat. Next time i eat a fruit, my throat could close. I may not be able to inject myself. My boyfriend and i played with my trainer pen for like 30 minutes. He knows how to inject it. I know how. This is important.

I got my first aid certificate a few months ago and we were trained to use an EpiPen, (among other important things). Its so easy to use but its also easy to panic in emergency situations. Its important for the assister (or first responder) to remain calm to ensure the person needing medical help is safe. And always call emergency services when in doubt and in serious situations.

ADDING INFORMATION

Epipens can be administered through clothing, even jeans. Do not stop to try to take the person’s pants off. Just go with the need through the pants.

If you only have an epipen that is expired and you or someone is having an allergic reaction, use it anyway. Expired medication doesn’t have a negative or new effect suddenly added to it; the medicine just may not work as well. However, even working a little bit is better than nothing at all. There was a tragic story of someone who was having a reaction, and the 911 operator told the person who called 911 to not use the expired epipen. The victim sadly passed away from their reaction. The doctor told the family that they should have used the epipen, even if it was expired and that the 911 operator gave incorrect directions.

All of this being said, please make sure that you keep up with your epipens and their expiration dates. You want to make sure you have the best medicine possible.
